“before a crowd of forty-six hundred in uncomfortably cold conditions on September 30, 1946. Paige and his All-Stars took the first game in the series 3–1. In the next game in Youngstown, Ohio, Feller and his Major Leaguers trounced Paige and his compatriots 11–2 before an audience of three thousand. That same evening the two teams met again at Municipal Stadium in Cleveland in front of a sold-out audience of ninety-seven hundred, with Feller, assisted by Major League ace Bob Lemon with the mound work, taking the contest 5–0. Feller and crew repeated their victorious way next in Chicago's Comiskey Park on October 3 before an audience of twenty”
