Marcella McCoy-Deh, PhD, enjoys writing children’s literature, adult fiction, and essays. She teaches courses in history, social science, and writing and enjoys international and domestic travel. McCoy-Deh, who lives in Philadelphia with her husband and daughter, is an academic administrator and professor at Philadelphia University. The Philadelphia native is an alumna of Morgan State University in Maryland and Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She has also lived in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. She has been previously published as an academic, a journalist, and a magazine contributor. The Search for Susu is McCoy-Deh’s first novel.
