The Reviews Are In!

When I first submitted my novel to the San Francisco Book Review this summer, I had no idea what the outcome would be. It could turn out to been anything from them hating it to them loving it. I sent two proof paperback copies and tried not to think about it.   Then last week the review came back. I can't tell you how I felt when I saw the San Francisco Book Review email come in to my inbox. I was equally curious as I was nervous to open it. In fact I was waiting in line to get gas, bored and

A Wattpad Goodbye... (starting a new chapter in my writing career)

Today was I had to do something very difficult! I had to remove The Virgin Diaries from my list of novels available to read for free on wattpad. It reached 40,500 views and made it's way up to #40 in the ChickLit category! I was sad to remove it, but it is no longer a free-to-read novel, but rather, a published one!   I'm so grateful to all the wattpad readers who have supported me and liked chapters on my site and left encouraging comments. I love hearing straight from the readers themselves.

I'd tried to buy one online at home but I couldn't find a plush just like the ones

Entering Into the Novel: Visiting the Places the Story Takes Place!

I’m here once again, at a campground in beautiful British Columbia, on vacation. But this year the place has come alive for me, now that it is one of the locations my novel took place.   I’m at the very campground where Jade stopped for the night on his drive to Penticton and Abby came to join him!   Abby and Jade are fictional characters from my novel The Virgin Diaries, but the places they visited aren’t fictional!           The campground Abby saw as she walked through looking for Jade’s
