What are some of your favorite pastimes/hobbies?

I have so many interests and hobbies, it’s just harder to find time to do them! But to name a few:

(Reading and writing, but that’s probably obvious haha)Meditation and yoga when I need them.
Charcoal, pastels or oil/acrylic mediums for art.
Horseback riding has been part of my life forever, but I’m not currently active. I’d love to have a horse again someday if I’m lucky enough!Do spin classes at the gym count? Because I do about two a week and they’re something I really look forward to.Makeup has always been a love of mine.Hiking and camping is something I’ve gotten more into with my boyfriend over last fall.Being obsessed with my French Bulldog and taking him to the dog park.Hexing my dissenters.Hexing the patriarchy.Hexing people who walk too slowly.Hexing people who drive to quickly.Just hexing away.

Do you like paper books, ebooks or audiobooks?

I’m kind of weird but it depends on the book for me!

Paper books if I’m trying to study the author’s style

(cadence, word choice, syntax, etc).

and plan on making a lot of notes and annotations to inform my own writing.

eBooks if I’m still trying to do the above but am more interested in the content and word choice, like if I know I will be pulling quotes more than analyzing and annotating.

Audiobooks for a good story, something I can digest easily while I’m on the go. I love listening to them in the car, while folding laundry/doing chores, or getting ready for the day.

Right now I’m doing Murakami’s Hardboiled Wonderland in paperback to make lots of notes and analyze his style, and I just finished up The Nest on audiobook because it was a fun character study and fictional drama to listen to.

Anyone else like that? They’re all so good for different purposes!

“Witchcraft has never been passive in the face of power. Our witchcraft will not be silenced at a time such as this, it will not be polite. Witchcraft cannot retreat to the wilderness, because there is no exterior wilderness left; instead we need to exteriorise our inner wild. We need to wake up the animal in our bodies. This is witchcraft as contagion, as living flame. We witches must however reluctantly return the curse that has been laid upon us all.”
