A near-lifelong dream, realized: I completed my Kurt Cobain pilgrimage. It took me awhile to wrap my head around it enough to post, but I traveled from Kurt’s boyhood home in Aberdeen to his artist hole to his resting place in Seattle, leaving little graffitis along the way, in typical Kurt fashion. With my husband and two of my best friends by my side! It didn’t feel right ending the trip with the visit to his last home, so Paul and I went to his favorite bar, Linda’s, to cheers to his life and the music he left behind. I left Aberdeen with one less shoe and a container of Wishkah dirt, I left his Seattle home with a heavier heart but more open mind, I left the whole experience with the ember of creativity rekindled, all together the maddening, inspiring, molasses smooth, darkness giving soul lifting kind of feeling his music has sparked in me since I was 11. I came as I am, thanks for the art, Kurt
