You have a completely paid for trip to any place of your choice...where do you chose to go and what would you do there?

Domestic: Seattle. So I could make my Nirvana / Kurt pilgrimage to Aberdeen and just generally soak in all of the beautiful gloomy creative vibes there. It’s a city I’d really love to see.

International: St. Petersburg, Russia. So I could have a similar pilgrimage to the surrounding areas only this time to see Dostoevsky’s house, and see some of the local haunts I’ve read about in so many of my favorite Russian literature.

But you know, Paris always has my heart, it would be hard not to go right back there, but for the sake of the question I want to keep it somewhere new.

Thanks for your curiosity!

"Oh, something is there, waiting for me. Perhaps someday the revelation will burst in upon me and I..."

Oh, something is there, waiting for me. Perhaps someday the revelation will burst in upon me and I will see the other side of this monumental grotesque joke.

And then I’ll laugh.

And then I’ll know what life is.

Do you know of any good mantras for strength? (Both physical and mental) the mantra resolution thing is such a good idea !!

Honestly I think the best mantras are the ones that have the most meaning for you - whether it’s song lyrics, book quotes, other quotes, or even something you wrote yourself. I’ve moved away from the traditional Buddhist mantras because I feel like the magic that a mantra holds really depends on the energy you inject into it, which maintains its highest potency when it’s something of your own devotion or creation.

For me I take a lot of mine from books, I’m sure that’s a shocker. Anything from Cheryl Strayed. I also have a few from Nirvana, Come As You Are being one of my personal favorites.

Check out “Wild” by Cheryl Strayed for good strength quotes that could be mantras, that’s really what the whole book was about, IMO.

Your blog has a dark, yet serene vibe to it. I find it calming. Keep doing you, girlfriend. You're awesome.

Same to you, my friend. Glad I captured that, that’s pretty much me in a nutshell I suppose. Thanks for believing.
