“You wanted things and you couldn’t help it, because there was only your life, only yourself to wake up with, and how could you ever tell yourself what you wanted was wrong?”

What is your workout routine? Do you do the same thing like all the time or do you do a variety? I'm a girl, and in the most heterosexual way I would just like to say that you're fucking HOT. Keep killin' it girl. Xo

Well you da you da best.

I switch it up a lot. I’m kind of an intuitive exerciser, I just try to feel out what my body needs and go from there. Over the years of trying a lot of different routines I think I finally found out what works for what my body needs, everyone’s different so there’s no “one size fits all” workout routine just like there’s no universal diet plan that works the same way for everyone.

I typically work out about 4-5x per week. My body responds very well to cardio and medium weights with lower reps and higher sets. So basically I’ll do about 40-60 mins of cardio (running is my favorite, followed by cycling, stairs and elliptical, but do what you like or else it’s miserable) and about 20 mins of weights, either arms or legs and then I finish off with abs or butt or both depending on the day and my energy level. Cardio is really my key though, I’ll do intervals/hills one day and then endurance the next and switch off.

A disclaimer that I’m no fitness guru, and I’ve never taken any sports medicine classes or anything of that nature. But I think deep down we each know what works for us and when we see and feel the most benefit, so I encourage you to look deeper into that to break the cycle of all of these endless workout plans on Instagram and everywhere else.

That’s just my two cents!

Anna

sweptawaybbooks:

Update time! Sweetbitter is proving to be more and more of a heady experience the further into it I get. Each passage is a hectic experience that engages all of the senses, and although I haven’t had much time to read the past couple of days, I find myself constantly thinking about the busy atmosphere of a popular New York restaurant.

.

What’s the last book that had you completely consumed? .

“Yes, I need you, my fairy-tale. Because you are the only person I can talk with about the shade of a cloud, about the song of a thought — and about how, when I went out to work today and looked a tall sunflower in the face, it smiled at me with all of its seeds.”

theparisreview:

“I’m interested in this moment on the cusp of adulthood—when we encounter how the world treats women and girls—and what it means to be a girl in the world.” —Emma Cline

I finished this the other week and I’m still thinking about it. One of my new favorites!
