Ahhh!! A dragon!
Hello fellow readers! I hope this post finds you well and hopefully getting into the holiday spirit. Personally I cannot wait for the holidays, best time of the year for me. I get to go back home and see my family, which becomes much more important when you don't live in the same state as them anymore. As you all know from my last post, I've been trying to re-prioritize things in my life. I have devoted more time to writing, or at least trying to, and I think I have succeeded for the most

Follow Your Own Vision
Hello fellow readers! It has been a while since I have posted to my blog, and I apologize for that. Lately I have been stressing out about work and other things that haven't allowed me to take time to do what I like to do. October is almost gone and I haven't made the progress I would have liked, so I am re-prioritizing my priorities. After some reflection, I realized that working towards someone else's vision is part of life, otherwise we would all do what we wanted and not worry about such

Follow Me on Pinterest!
Yes, I know, sometimes I am really slow to catch up, or maybe I'm just really new to all this advertising and marketing and the many different channels you can use. I was reading some articles this past week and saw where one author said that rich pins on Pinterest were an absolute must for indie authors. Intrigued, I decided to do some research into what, exactly, this was and what it entailed. The most I really knew about Pinterest came in the form of a little joke I saw on Facebook that

It's October!
It is officially now October! Halloween will be here before we know it and we get to see all the little ghosts, goblins, and all other creatures of the night and of our imagination. I don't know about the rest of you, but I sometimes like to wonder what the world would be like if those things were real. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it would be a scary place, but don't you think it would also be rather fun? Fun like a scary movie is fun or a scary roller coaster, where you are scared but also

New Cover Illustration Revealed!
On my last blog post I announced I would be using a different illustration than I thought for the book cover. Well, just a few days ago I received word my new book cover illustration was finished, so today I am officially saying: this is it! I love it! The second book is about our heroes' journey into the Myste, and I think this cover more adequately conveys that. I hope you all love it as much as I do, and I'd love to hear any feedback you have. One of the most common complaints I have

What's New... and What Isn't?
Let's begin with what's new. Book two is coming along nicely, and I'm still on track for an end of the year release. I have decided to redo the cover of the book simply because I don't think the illustration I was going to use is sufficient for the content. I think everyone will like the new cover. I have only seen the rough sketch of it so far, but it's in progress and I will post it when it is finished. You can't rush art, right? Speaking of art, I've been using Fiverr.com to find

Good News!
Just wanted to give a quick update on the progress of the second book, Into the Myste. I'm now finished with chapter three and I have started on chapter four, which probably doesn't sound like much to most, but honestly, chapter three was difficult for me to write and I think I must have rewritten it at least half a dozen times before I was even happy with the first draft's quality and wording. I know I mentioned it in my last post, but this book is going along smoothly in large part because of the time and effort my mom is putting into it, as well as myself. Never can thank her enough.
In the interim, I also read another indie author's book entitled Brooding City by Tom Shutt, and it was a great book. I highly recommend it if you are interested in paranormal stories, especially if you like a little detective mystery thrown in. Besides, we all know of many renowned authors like Stephen King or Dean Koontz, but there are plenty of indie authors out there like myself that know how to throw down with a pen and write a good story.
Currently I'm reading The Collector by David Luna, and so far, it's a good book as well. I will be reviewing it when I'm finished on both amazon.com and goodreads.com, so please check that out as well.
Between all this reading, writing, and working, my Doberman just had seven puppies and we are super excited about that. It's her first litter and she's a great mama. The father is none other than our infamous Sylas, and I'm sure he would be a great father, but we haven't allowed him to meet the puppies just yet. I don't think mama would approve.
So, as you can see, lots going on right now, which is why it has taken me so long to post to my blog. Hopefully my next one will not take so long. Thanks for taking the time out to read a little about my life, and I hope yours is going as great as mine is right now!

Dragons of Daegonlot, Book 2 Release
I'm currently working on the second book in the Dragons of Daegonlot series, which will be titled "Into the Myste". In this upcoming story, you will be able to find out more about Sylas and Trakon, and most especially, the Myste, and how it all ties together. So far it's been a great journey, and it's only just beginning.
If you would like to read the first chapter of the second book, please visit my website blog here. I expect this book to be released towards the end of October. That is not yet firmed up, but I will post updates as they are available.
Any feed back or suggestions are always welcome. Thanks for reading!
