Sunday Night Ramblings

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. They are the best, but boy do they go fast! Just got done watching The Walking Dead and also Talking Dead Live. I have to say I really like the show, and I think the talk show afterwards gives more insight into the struggles our favorite characters on the show go through in this zombie infested world. I didn't think I'd be a fan, I have always though zombies were gross and over-done, but I do enjoy it and look forward to it every Sunday

Book Three - Officially Started

Hello readers! I'm somewhat excited to announce I have now officially started book three in the Dragons of Daegonlot series. I have the first two chapters through the first draft in any case, and currently working on the third. I'm only somewhat excited since I know I still have a long way to go, but I love that I'm back in the groove of things and back in story mode. I was actually just thinking the other day about this series, and wondering how long it was actually going to be. I don't

Congratulations!

Hello fellow readers! I hope everyone is well and reading! I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who participated in my Goodreads giveaway for a free, signed copy of Into the Myste. I was amazed at how many entrants there were, (over 800!) and pleased as well. I think next time I will try to have more books on hand to give away, or maybe make it a little shorter? Not sure yet, but either way, I was overwhelmed with the response and in a very good way. To the winners, congratulations!

Weekend Getaways Rock!

Hello fellow readers! I know it has been a while since I have posted anything to my blog, and for that I apologize. It's been really busy at work lately, and, of course, the launch of Into the Myste has taken up quite a bit of my time. It always feels like a great endeavor when I finally get a book published and out into the world, but there is also some trepidation;did I find all the errors? My husband and I decided to take a little mini vacation with a few good friends of ours to get

Back to Writing

Hello fellow readers! I hope all of you are enjoying book two of the Dragons of Daegonlot series, Into the Myste. I've received some great feedback from people, mostly good so far, and I hope you will keep it coming. I love to hear if you enjoy my book, but if you don't like it, tell me what you didn't like about it as well. As I wrote the first book of the series,Dragon Orb, I always knew what the second book would be about. I almost couldn't wait to finish the first so I could jump right

Book Review - The Adventures of JoJo Smith by Tony Leslie Duxbury

This book was interesting and quite funny in parts. Our hero, JoJo, was taken out of modern day England and transported back in time to a medieval setting by a wizard named Shadlow and his apprentice, Jodel. The relationship between the wizard and JoJo is tense, as you can imagine, and JoJo wants nothing more than to be sent back home. Unfortunately, the wizard does not see this as a pressing concern, so JoJo does what any upstanding citizen would... he made plans to overthrow the King and fo...

Lots to Read

I know in my last post I said I would send out my first newsletter in February, and that was the plan, however, I sent my first last night. It was really exciting. The only reason I was waiting was because the story I was going to use happened to have some characters from the second book in it, but going back through previous cut chapters, content, notes, etc., I realized I had plenty of others to choose from. So, my first newsletter has the short story of Jessa and Riiele's brief time

Walk Toward the Next Sunset

As we all know, it's a new year and 2016 has officially begun in earnest. It's been almost two weeks. What does that mean? Nothing really. Another day in the life. I took time tonight to look over pictures, letters, Facebook posts, and events from the past few years and marveled at how quickly time goes by. Sometimes I think we get so caught up in life we simply forget to live it, pardon the cliche. So, in remembrance of the last few years, here are a few of my most memorable moments: I
