I came across the name L.C. Evans in my travels on the Internet, here and there, but never actually knew this author. Earlier this month I was contacted by author Simon Royle, who knew L.C. Evans. Simon heard about the author's death earlier this month, after her battle with cancer. He contacted me, along with all the other indie authors he'd interviewed on his website, to put together a tribute for LC.

Today (24th January), when you purchase any one of LC's books from Amazon and send your receipt to Simon, you can claim a free ebook by one of the participating authors in this tribute. I understand that Simon has also contacted Amazon.com in the hope that they will be promoting LC's books today. I think this is a great tribute, and it would be wonderful if LC's books became bestsellers. From reading her interview on Simon's blog, I can tell that she was a hard working indie author who loved writing and, like all writers, just wanted her books to be read.
