In The Lime Light – Trini Lind/ Love Notes from My Heart

Line Prisad 2

Please do allow me to Introduce you to One Of the Loveliest Souls I have had the great pleasure of meeting through the Magic of blogging: Trini Lind of the Beautiful Poetry and Photography blog Love Notes From My Heart https://pathsofthespirit.wordpress.com

Trini says it best, so, in her own words (borrowed from her About page)

Dearest lovely people,

I am delighted to have you visiting me here!

I am a joyful soul who believes in healing the world through Love, a Love that starts first with ourselves, then expands to eventually include every living being on planet earth and beyond. I believe that a way to Love yourself is to always seek joy, comfort, and stillness.

I live my dreams every day and I try to create a little magic in the world by leaving a trail of Light wherever I happen to walk.

Now if that isn’t enough to make you dash right over to her blog for a leisurely meander, I’m not entirely sure what will! Still, if you need a bit more convincing, consider this: Do you enjoy beautiful photography, fairy tales, short stories, breathtaking poetry, all graced by a gentle spirituality that sings upon the wing; music you’ve probably never heard before and insights into the wonders of life? Yes, I do as well, which is why I am drawn again and again to Trini’s blog. But don’t take my word for it, read on and discover for yourself more about her :)

About Your Blog:

Tell us about your Blog.

I started my blog a little over a year ago, because I wanted to inspire people with my writing. I have been writing since I was 6 and for me writing is a way of reaching out to people, sharing the love, joy and peace in my heart. My blog is mainly a poetry blog, but I sometimes also publish photos and articles. Most of it has a spiritual theme, but you will also find love poems, fun photos and some articles about culture and social work.

What Inspires the Magic within you?

I am inspired by so many things! Nature, people, art, spirituality and music. I think if I had to choose one if those things It would have to be nature. I just love nature. I find God in nature, in small things like a beautiful butterfly, a little flower in the wayside, white sails on the horizon, a starry sky, a bird sailing the wind.

What Message, if any, do you hope to Share through your blog/posts?

I think my ongoing message which seeps through everything I do is Love. When I was little I said that I wanted to love all those who did not have anyone to love them. As an adult I know that that is not possible so I have rephrased my dream, saying now that I want to help people to love themselves, to find love within. I think that is my message.

Do you have any upcoming events or projects, books, promotions, giveaways?

No, not really. I keep writing every day. Creating, looking for beauty and evidence of God’s Love to share. But you never know what will happen. I follow my heart, and the heart can be impulsive.

Describe yourself in Five Words

Oh, that is difficult. Let’s see…spiritual, artistic, creative, highly sensitive, joyful. Yes, that sounds like me.

Tell us about something from your childhood that sparked the magic of creativity inside you.

I was always a creative child. I think teaching myself to read and write when I was 4 must have been the most magical thing in my childhood. From then onwards I just wrote and wrote all the time.

When you are not writing/taking pictures, what is your favourite pastime?

Reading, listening to music, being in nature or around animals like horses, or anything creative like drawing, painting or just making things.

If you could invite Five People (from the past or present) to a dinner party, who would you invite and why?

This one is not easy…..let me think…..it had to be someone I admire……like Meryl Streep, yes I looooove her! She is so amazing! Funny, kind, warm, wise, artistic and deep. And I love her speeches! Then my next choice would be…..J.K Rowling, I think. I love her in interviews and her life story is so amazing, and I of course love the Harry Potter books! Seems like I am keeping to famous people here! Well anyway…..it is just the truth! The third one would be Emma Watson because I love her speech about gender equality in the United Nations meeting. That was amazing! I want to discuss that speech with her. The fourth would be the Princess of my native Norway. She is very spiritual, has written books about guardian angels and organizes classes for spiritual growth. The fifth would be a musician, Loreena McKennitt I think. I love her music so much, and she has such a poetic and artistic soul. I would just love to listen to her talking about folklore and old myths and legends. So there you have it! It looks to be a real hen party with five strong and independent women, an author, two actresses, a celtic musician and a princess, perfect! I bet we’ll have an amazing time with lots of wine and wonderful food!

What makes Life Worth Living?

Oh, so many things! Love of course! That is most important! The giving of love and the receiving of it! If I ever feel sad, like the world is too harsh and cruel, I think of how much love I can give, and what a difference that can make, that always picks me right back up. I feel my number one responsibility is to my soul, letting it grow and shine and reach its full potential.

Thank You Ever so Much Trini for Sharing yourself with us. (By the way, I agree, Loreena McKennitt is Amazing!) And so are you :)

Friday Fantasy – Lark

Lark

Magical Grace upon the Wing,

Whisper Light,

Whisper Beauty,

Like Sweet Larks that Sing.

.

Like a river, her teal hair flows,

Too beautiful to put in prose.

A finer creature, I have not seen,

This one must be a queen.

The Whispers

Whispers 1

Listen to the Softest sound,

The Hum of History Speaking loud,

In the dusky, earthen shroud,

Or in the Vision of Liberating Green.

Whispers 2

Past the intricate technology,

Beyond the Fine, Posh Luxury,

Into the Picturesque Vistas I See,

Glimmering in an Archaic Sheen.

Whispers 3

Speaking in Tones Gently Untold,

While the future hurries to unfold,

I Stand on the hillside, Silent and Bold,

Listening to the Whispering Scene.

The Strength of my Conviction,

Beguiled – A Collaboration

Beguiled

Eyes that smolder, drawing you in

the teasing smile like a sensual sin

she gazes through, lights your soul on fire

as your thoughts burn like a funeral pyre,

her skin so smooth, so silky light

and you want it so much, this lovely delight.

Her words capture you, a sweet southern drawl

on hands and knees you’d surely crawl

to touch this maidens soft pale skin

your fingers run down as you begin

to trace her back like a delicate dance

lost in the moment of this romance.

Beguiling words to quench your thirst

for lust and life she will come first

to weave her magic on a poor souls heart

you never want to be swept apart

this wild hearted woman with a wanton need

will claim your soul, on this she’ll feed

and take you to the dream you crave

for her you’d be her beckoned slave.

She is the master of such desire

a sultry mistress you’ll never tire

as she leads you to her chamber door,

Oh God, you think…I must have more.

~Kim of Peace, Love and Patchouli~

This poem is the continuation of a collaboration Kim of Peace, Love and Patchouli blog found at https://zipsrid.wordpress.com and I are working on. The idea may sound convoluted, but its a test of Inspiration and prompts. I Sent her the artwork and title for the poem Deliberate, found below, and she had to come up with the verse. Then, she sent me the beautiful image above and the title for the next poem which I had to write (Clandestine). Round and round we go (until we get bored or find a perfect stopping point, whichever comes first!) If you haven’t read her Beautiful poetry before, I strongly recommend visiting her blog, filled with the most lyrical phrases, delicate verses, profound notions wrapped in ethereal prose and lovely photography and artwork. This is what drew me in when I first met Zippy, as I call her (derived from the Infinite Zip screen name she uses) and what keeps me coming back for more and more and more. I hope you enjoy our extended collaboration. More to follow, week to week, as we continue to test and inspire each other. Fine our previous poems below…

.

Clandestine

Awake amidst the Morning’s shimmer,

Glimmer Smiling upon your Skin,

Begin the day with Love Beguiling,

Smiling to know the quandary we’re in!

Beyond the Whispers, Silent as Prose,

Rose Red Morning lifts her Gaze,

Haze of Passion Softly Singing,

Bringing Mischief to these weary Days!

Oh My Love, Before you Leave me,

Be my All one Moment More,

Implore from me my Heart’s Desire,

Fire Kissing a Boundless Shore!

Clandestine Love, Immortal Treasure,

Amidst stolen Moments of Exquisite Pleasure!

~Morgan~

Deliberate Plea

You come to me

Deliberate and gentle

In my weakest moment

You gather me close

Skin touching skin

Please, let us begin.

Passion fills the air around

Touch me now,

Don’t let me down

I am filled

My cup overflowing

You are all I desire,

With you my soul is on fire

As we are love inspiring

Take me now,

One more time.

In The Lime Light – Brenda Davis Harsham/ Friendly Fairy Tales Blog

Friendly Fairy Tales Blog

Please permit me the privilege of presenting the pleasing and positively pleasant Brenda Davis Harsham of Friendly Fairy Tales Blog found here: http://friendlyfairytales.com . Its the fairy magic that brings out the alliterations in me, but its Brenda that brings the smiles! Her glorious gardens for gazing, her prolific pleasing prose, the fanciful friendly fairies fluttering freely, and the sprinkling of softly spoken sagacity that brings me back to her beauteous blog again and again (and again and again!). When Brenda agreed to share her smiles and some secrets in this weeks In The Lime Light, I knew I would Love hearing what she had to share and I was in no way disappointed by her answers. Read on and enjoy her vim and verm, her wit and wisdom for yourselves ;)

About Your Blog:

Tell us about your Blog.

Friendly Fairy Tales is a place of magic where stories are born from the broth of words, stirred by imagination, stripped down to the bones. Poetry, photography and fairy tales celebrate nature and all the possibilities it sparks in our minds.

What Inspires you and Sparks your Imagination?

Nature, literature, song and people give me constant inspiration. Translating that inspiration into stories is the work of a lifetime.

Your blog boasts Poetry as well as Photography, do you have a favourite?

I’m not sure if you mean do I prefer poetry above photography or the converse OR if you mean do I have a favorite poem or photograph. I prefer the magic that happens when poetry springs from a photograph, bringing with it the memories of that moment in my life. I can’t pick a favorite poem or photograph. That would be like picking a favorite child, and I would never try to do that. They are all memories and songs of my heart.

Do you have any upcoming events or projects, books, promotions, giveaways?

I am sadly lacking any of those. What a slacker I am!! I am entertaining my children to the summer of their dreams (I hope), and burnishing story ideas whenever I have the chance. And I can’t help taking new pictures and writing new poems, because that is like breathing to me.

Brenda H

About YOU:

I was a sad little girl for so many reasons, but I had an epiphany in my early twenties that the secret of being happy was to declare that it was so. And so I have endeavored to do that, with more assurance and authority ever since, and dang if it hasn’t worked!

Brenda’s Bio:

A lifetime of nature observation collided with my love of fairy tales, giving birth to my blog. I do extensive research and use true stories about animal behavior in my writing. I’ve been published, and my writing has won hundreds of awards. I’m hard at work on a multitude of children’s book manuscripts. I hope to have one traditionally published soon. In addition, I’m a wife, a mom of three imaginative kids and a survivor.

Describe yourself in Five Words.

Phoenix reborn reclaiming happiness deliberately.

Tell us about something from your childhood that sparked the creativity bug inside you.

I’ve always had my own inner world, with a wise voice that helped me keep my balance in a rocky world. That inner voice taught me that telling myself stories was more fun than replaying disappointments and mistakes in a hyper critical way. Being a perfectionist is no picnic. Get off that train if you suffer from the same impossible expectations that I did. Unless you’re writing, in which case, edit, edit, edit. LOL

If you could go anywhere, do anything, regardless of expense, describe your Perfect Day.

I would have a tea party with my kids and all our friends in the Musee d’Orsay, right in full view of the Van Gogh collection, and not a drop of food would cling to my frock and not a bit of damage would happen to the art. We would then go paint plein air in Monet’s garden. Then we would take a helicopter to Provence, where we would lie on lounge chairs in a field of lavender, the fragrance surrounding us as we gaze at the milky way, in all its glory. Not a single bug would impinge on our moments of perfection. Then we would all teleport home to sleep in our own beds. (Oh I want to go along with you! Sounds Absolutely Magical!)

If you could invite Five People (from the past or present) to a dinner party, who would you invite and why?

Oh, my, such scope for the imagination. I’m quite overwhelmed. Frida Kahlo, Robert Frost, Henry David Thoreau, Ogden Nash, Oscar Wilde, Mark Twain. Oh, I can’t choose, I can’t!

What makes Life Worth Living?

Art, Family, Love, imagination, Faith, joy, Dreams, Nature. I want it all!

.

SEE I told you it would be an Entirely Enjoyable Experience :)

Thank You Brenda for Sharing your insights with us. Im so Glad you agreed to be In The Lime Light!
