Friday Fantasy – Spirit in Me

FFteas1

Spirit of my Mystery,

Enigma, Winging, Sweet and Free,

Fire and Strength,

This Aura Ablaze,

Passion Aflight in Mystical Haze.

Spirit of my Liberty,

Chaos Spilling Magically,

Vigor and Might,

Vibrant and Strong,

All I am Resounding in Song!

Spirit of my Harmony,

Bold Enchantment, Visually,

Whisper Wind,

Upon these Wings,

Fearlessly Welcome whatever Life Brings!

Friday Fantasy – Timeless

FFteas

In the darkness, I linger, alone.

Locked Inside, Timeless,

Unseen and Unheard, while the world goes along without me.

Once All the world sought me out,

Longing for the Treasures I can provide;

Now, I am but a Myth.

A Legend long forgotten, long Unspoken.

Upon the Mists of Time I Danced,

All-powerful;

Yet those same mists now enshroud me,

Ensnare me,

Entrap me,

And all my Powers shrink to a world the size of

This Lantern,

This Darkness,

In which I Linger,

Alone.

Walk In Purpose

Walk in Purpose

Walk with Me at the Break of Dawn,

Awaken to My Love, My Caring;

Quietly Pause before Monotony,

For this Splendor of Simple Sharing.

All your cares, Entreat to Me

And Accept this Peace, Unending;

Then Walk in Purpose, Where I Lead,

Your Gifts in Tribute Spending.

For as the Day Increases, Dour,

Tumult and calamity Breeding;

With your Talents, Bravely journey,

Each Life you Touch with My Love, Seeding.

Silence Reaching

Silence-Reaching

Silence Reaches,

Stretching through Time,

Through Mysteries,

Through Shadows,

Signifying Rhyme;

Silence Whispers,

Harmonizing in the Calm,

Reminding,

And Binding,

With Tranquility’s Balm;

Silence Glimmers,

Singing Softly of Yore;

Entrancing,

Romancing,

As Silence Reaches Evermore.

The Seasons of Life

Fall Walk

As the seasons of Life shift and blur, our Journey ever changes; yet the path remains the same and Leads us ever in the right Direction, should we Choose to Follow.

Over the past year, Life has led me in more than a few new and, often, frightening directions. The Path has often seemed obscured, littered with debris that grasps and reaches to ensnare me or cause me to stumble. There have been more than a few moments when I stopped and gazed round in confusion, uncertain of the way in which I should go and fearful of what lies ahead; and once or twice I doubled back, attempting to find the trail once again. Yet, in spite of the twists and turns; regardless of the brambles and scrubby undergrowth crowding the track, and notwithstanding the shadows of doubt that clouded the way like thick, enshrouding fog, my feet continued forward.

Walking through the woodlands of life is ever challenging; yet is often equally rewarding. The views and vistas are picturesque and charming; the breeze is sweet, fresh and clean and the lighting is sublime. Avenues meander through coppices streaming with ribbons of sunlight; streams burble and play over sleek, moss-covered stones; and life teems all about you. You may not always be certain of the direction in which you should travel, but the way is intriguing and beautiful, in spite of it all.

The paved way that leads straight through the center of town may, indeed, be easier to traverse. It may be direct; it may be well lighted; it may seem a “no-brainer”, but without obstacles, trials and challenges, there is very little opportunity to test our strength or increase our endurance. The leaf-litter upon the rocky path may seem a dangerous pitfall, but if we walk along a perfectly manicured lawn, how will we ever learn to keep our feet under us? Life is, after all, about the journey, not the destination; it’s about becoming stronger and more confident through the tests we encounter along the way; it’s about discovering our way and ourselves along that way.

So, as the Seasons of Life shift and blur, and my Journey ever changes; the path remains the same and Leads me ever in the right Direction, should I Choose to Follow.

Thank You, my Friends, for walking along this path with me; for Sharing the Journey and waiting on me when I fall behind. You are, indeed, a Treasure; You are the unexpected Briar Rose Blossoming Sweetly among the scraggly undergrowth and YOU are the reason I linger, Smiling, as verses and lyrics Spring Anew.

~Blessings ~

TELL US ABOUT YOUR BLOG: My blog consists of posts about my experiences with people in the old Hollywood days, about traveling, about events in my life, and re-blogging of other people’s posts that catch my attention and evoke varied emotions.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU? Happy memories, my garden and its inhabitants of birds,bees, squirrels, and an occasional possum.

ABOUT WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO WRITE AND WHY? I like to write about people who influenced or delighted me,people I have loved in the past, travel to other countries giving me an appreciation for other cultures. Life is full of surprises and wonderful, interesting people who make me wonder and laugh, and I want to give them credit for their contributions to my life.

WHAT HAVE YOU FOUND TO BE THE MOST REWARDING PART OF BLOGGING? Other people’s blogs, so rich with creative ideas and philosophical thoughts and joys and worries and humor that give me a chance to know and appreciate their talents and lives on this journey called existence.

DO YOU HAVE A MESSAGE OR INSPIRATION YOU HOPE TO SHARE THROUGH YOUR BLOG/WRITING? I suppose the message is that no matter who you are or where you go, we are all on a journey on this planet together, all human beings trying to express ourselves and communicate what is in our hearts.

DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN FIVE WORDS: I know I don’t know. (LOL this made me SMILE!)

TELL US ABOUT WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD: My childhood started in New York, where I lived most happily with my parent, grandparents, uncle and aunt, four of whom were involved in show business, until I was nine years old. I was four years old when they started taking me to Broadway shows, so I developed a love for the theater at an early age. When I was nine we moved to California to live on Harry Carey’s ranch where I learned to ride and love horses, a love that has continued to this day. We spent summers on Balboa Island, swimming, sailing, and biking. When I was twelve years old, we moved back to New York for another four years before again packing up for California. My teen age years were the years of World War 11, and, although it was a time of anxiety, curfews, air raid warnings, a shortage of many items, and boy friends becoming members of the Armed Services, I still had happy times with family and friends.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST MEMORY FROM THE TIME YOU WERE TEACHING? There are so many, it is hard to choose. I think one of the best was when I was teaching English at a university in Slovakia for the Peace Corps. My 3rd and 4th year university students had been raised in the Soviet teaching method—listen, take notes, don’t ask questions,and spit back the answers on tests. I was the only American teacher in the English Department, and my methods were a lot different. The first time I asked my my classes what they thought about an article we read and asked them to write an essay expressing those thoughts, they were uneasy and cautious. It was then I realized they had been raised all their lives under a government where to express their thoughts could lead to incarceration. After all, the Slovak Republic had just become a new county the year before I arrived. I assured them I would be the only one to read their essays. That was the breakthrough. For the rest of the semester we had more essays, debates, and group activities in which words just spilled from them in torrents. We also had a lot of laughter. At the end of the semester, they brought me flowers, and the spokesman for the class said, “We want to thank you for letting us think and for being so human with us.” That is a memory I shall always cherish.

IF YOU COULD INVITE FIVE PEOPLE FROM THE PAST OR PRESENT TO A DINNER PARTY, WHO WOULD YOU INVITE AND WHY? I would invite my deceased parents, plus Carl Jung , Ray Bradbury, and the living author John Irving. Naturally, I would like to talk to my parents again. I have long admired Carl Jung and benefitted from his incredible books. Ray Bradbury is one of my favorite authors with a fascinating mind. John Irving is another author with a strong creative, whimsical streak that I enjoy. I think they would have a wonderful time exchanging ideas, and I would soak it all up and store it away to re-live again and again.

WHAT IS YOUR MANTRA IN LIFE? Years ago, when I was doing a lot of acting In Little Theater, a director said to us one day,”Live the moment, not the results.” I have taken that as a Mantra in my life. We only have the now, the moment, and we need to use it to its fullest to live, love, and be of service. The results will take care of themselves.

Thank You Ever So Much Patricia for sharing your story with me/us and allowing us to get to know you a bit better. I truly do value your friendship and am so Happy you agreed to allow me to Shine The Lime Light on you :)

Unexpected Hiatus

Silence 4

I wanted to stop by to say that I will be out of commission for a short time. On top of trying to finish up Dark Fey, Standing in Shadows, I am in the process of moving; my job situation is changing, and, as if that were not enough, I am dealing with the reminder that is has been an entire year since the untimely passing of my Mother and that sorrow lingers. Given all of these “stressors”, I have decided to take a break from some of my social media for a short time.

I truly appreciate your support and kindness and look forward to renewing my full attention to the blog soon. Many Many Blessings my Friends.

Undying – A Collaboration

Undying

Long We have been separated, Love,

Though in the Dawn of Existence we Kissed Each Other Sweetly.

Born of One Spirit,

Lingering in Breathless Anticipation,

Sharing Each Thought,

Each Breath,

Each Moment,

Unified in Perfection, Perfection in Unity.

Midnight moon comes calling

I see your form come close

Holding my breath in deeply

Your eyes fill me with dark wonder

Head tilted back to wait,

Your hands run through these silken curls

Your heart beats beneath my hands

As you lean down to claim

This aching love needed so much.

Eternity cannot separate

This blood I give for life

You will be mine sweet beauty

As I taste the force within,

Into the night we move soundlessly

Together for this eternity

As you are mine

And I am yours

A dark force to thrill

This endless romance

Will rise once more as night comes calling

Together we fly

Into the abyss

The ghostly blush of bliss

Creatures of midnight

Love alive.

Sweet Sanctuary of Love Beguiling

Ever One

Ever Lingering

Through the Midnight, Smiling,

Together as One,

Eternity unfolding,

As Time Whispers

Her Calamity,

Millennia Molding,

Two Hearts,

One Beat,

Beginning with no End

My Love,

Undying,

Shall Ever Tend.

~Morgan~

~Kim of Peace, Love and Patchouli~

.

This poem is the Finale of a collaboration Kim of Peace, Love and Patchouli blog found at https://zipsrid.wordpress.com , which we have been working on for the past few weeks. The idea may have sounded convoluted initially, but it was a test of Inspiration and prompts. I Sent her the artwork and title for the poem Deliberate, found below, and she had to come up with the verse. Then, she sent me the beautiful image and title for the poem Clandestine, which I had to write. We went round and round until we both wrote this final installment. (My verses are in italics) We weren’t sure where Inspiration would lead us, but a story of Undying Love and Passion emerged, with a hint of Vampyre, just for fun.

If you haven’t read her Beautiful poetry before, I strongly recommend visiting her blog, filled with the most lyrical phrases, delicate verses, profound notions wrapped in ethereal prose and lovely photography and artwork. This is what drew me in when I first met Zippy, as I call her (derived from the Infinite Zip screen name she uses) and what keeps me coming back for more and more and more. I hope you have enjoyed our extended collaboration as much as I have. Writing with Kim has been simply magical!

Below you will find our previous poems…

Ecstacy Unfolds

Ecstacy unfolds

I hear Your voice,

Sweet, Alluring, Delicious;

And My body quivers,

a Willow in November wind;

I have no choice.

I hear You breathe,

Hushed and Rhythmic, Unconscious Seduction;

And My lips tremble,

betraying the Sweet Obsession

that lies underneath.

I feel Your Guile

Measured, Purposeful, Deliberate Plea;

And My eyes close,

Pulse Races and Reticence Scatters;

I see You Smile

As Ecstasy Unfolds.

~Morgan~

Beguiled

Beguiled

Eyes that smolder, drawing you in

the teasing smile like a sensual sin

she gazes through, lights your soul on fire

as your thoughts burn like a funeral pyre,

her skin so smooth, so silky light

and you want it so much, this lovely delight.

Her words capture you, a sweet southern drawl

on hands and knees you’d surely crawl

to touch this maidens soft pale skin

your fingers run down as you begin

to trace her back like a delicate dance

lost in the moment of this romance.

Beguiling words to quench your thirst

for lust and life she will come first

to weave her magic on a poor souls heart

you never want to be swept apart

this wild hearted woman with a wanton need

will claim your soul, on this she’ll feed

and take you to the dream you crave

for her you’d be her beckoned slave.

She is the master of such desire

a sultry mistress you’ll never tire

as she leads you to her chamber door,

Oh God, you think…I must have more.

~Kim of Peace, Love and Patchouli~

Clandestine

Clandestine

Awake amidst the Morning’s shimmer,

Glimmer Smiling upon your Skin,

Begin the day with Love Beguiling,

Smiling to know the quandary we’re in!

Beyond the Whispers, Silent as Prose,

Rose Red Morning lifts her Gaze,

Haze of Passion Softly Singing,

Bringing Mischief to these weary Days!

Oh My Love, Before you Leave me,

Be my All one Moment More,

Implore from me my Heart’s Desire,

Fire Kissing a Boundless Shore!

Clandestine Love, Immortal Treasure,

Amidst stolen Moments of Exquisite Pleasure!

~Morgan~

Deliberate

Deliberate Plea

You come to me

Deliberate and gentle

In my weakest moment

You gather me close

Skin touching skin

Please, let us begin.

Passion fills the air around

Touch me now,

Don’t let me down

I am filled

My cup overflowing

You are all I desire,

With you my soul is on fire

As we are love inspiring

Take me now,

One more time.
