Silence Staring

Silence Staring
Little caring
Your Sweet Peace
Beyond Comparing
Silence Listening
Tranquility Glistening
Change Delicately
Transitioning
Silence Waiting
While I Stand Debating
Wordless Hush
Softly Sedating

winter companion — House of Heart
Winter has made it’s home in the streets and alleys. It dust the trees with dander, steals the green. Lies down, a stone falling in to a void. A question mark, the man on the park bench. In his dream he sits in the back of a bus on his way to church where the […]

In The Arms Of A Dream — Richard M. Ankers
I had this story published on a writing site called Quaterreads. As seen as they are now defunct, I thought I’d share it here. I have far too many short stories go to waste and hoped you might like to read it so that another didn’t. Richard In the Arms of A Dream I’m adrift […]

A Good Comfort (#Guest Post)

©susanirenefox
Settling into my own skin,
God has given me the ability
to smile at the person in the mirror,
loving and accepting exactly who I am.
As I look back at who I’ve been
and reflect on how and what I used to see,
my perspective was skewed, dark; I ignored
the signs: the love, the grace, the comfort from the Lamb.
Yet once I opened to His heart within,
I saw with Jesus’ eyes, I became free.
His love allowed me to open the door
to view myself and others through His love, His plan.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I see Him now inside my eyes
His beauty shines from my mirror back to me
As does His character; it is His peace I carry, not mine.
I breathe deeply, fully, accepting His unconditional love.

Soul’s Dream (Guest Blog for BnV) by janmalique

I’d like to thank Morgan for this fantastic opportunity to do a guest post for BnV, always a little nerve-wracking guesting on other people’s blogs! Great when writers support other writers. Without further ado, please follow me into a place set apart from time and space. The story incorporates many themes that are an integral part of my writing. If you happen to like it, I can be found at the site below.

The Soul of the World is nourished by people’s happiness. And also by unhappiness, envy and jealousy. To realize one’s destiny is a person’s only real obligation. All things are one.
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
The beautiful little lotus floats in the waters of the Endless Sea. For this is no earthly plane but that of the realms beyond human consciousness. Multiverse upon multiverse fade in and out of view. Time is but only one stream issuing from the source of all things. A nine-pointed star watches over all and listens to the billions of voices ebbing and flowing around them, often plaintive, always hopeful. Angelic herald and bestower of mercy are they, planetary regent of Luna herself. Out of geometry and order do they take on human form, being ageless and of infinite wisdom.
Pearls of light drop from his hands, exploding into a myriad of rays bathing the Universe in their glow. The Soul slumbering within the lotus wakens. Gabriel, for it is he, feels her quiver softly and reaches down to gently scoop up the flower. Her life force is strong, which brings a smile to his face. How precious and beauteous are these sparks of light from the Creator’s heart he thinks. He sings her a song of light and sound, recounting a tale of creation and the heavenly hosts. She listens spellbound, opening her petals one by one to finally reveal her face. She gazes upon his face and form. The great angelic being smiles down at her. He is bathed in silver of all hues and luminosity, from long, flowing hair to robe. The symbols of his power shine forth from his being, from silver crescent on his brow to the enneagram pendent around his neck.
She holds her breath for a brief moment as the Universe shifts and shifts again. The cycle begins once more. There is sadness for the loss that is to come, the fall into matter. ‘Grieve no more’ he whispers, her fears does he soothe, her sadness does he heal. The lotus slowly closes her petals. The Soul is enveloped in wings of lunar brightness, lifted high above the stars towards the place of origin. The angelic hosts sing their songs of light and sound, lulling this Soul into the land of dreams and unknowing. For this is to be the Soul’s Dream until the time of becoming.

Words and Friendship (Guest Post)
Their words spoke volumes

The Dark Fey Have Arrived — Richard M. Ankers
The Dark Fey Have Arrived Number Two in Richard’s Book Purchases As some of you may remember, I wrote a post about a month ago concerning the poetry of Candice Daquin. Her first poetry book was to be my first paperback purchase from writers I know. I had, and still have, been squirrelling away my […]
