Full Measure – #RomanticTuesday #Love #Poetry

Full Measure

.

Shape Unto Thy Resort My Truest Love,

That Fitting, It Should Fit Like Silken Glove,

With Affection in my Heart that Knows this Joy,

As the Sun does Bless, His Charms Blessing Employ;

Yet, no Toy is He, who Gives my Life Full Measure,

And Giving, Gives, to Supply such Ample Pleasure

Unto this Heart which, Beating, Beats for Thee;

While Love is Distant, Love Must Patient Be,

Until such Time as Heaven Knows Fair Hour,

This Love, in Blooming, Shall Bloom Sweet, and Flower.

Sisters – #Poetry

Sisters

She pours her Light with Generous Hand

Like water flowing from a living Stream,

Guiding Life while she Gracefully Stands

Upon the Horizon of Mortal Dreams,

Dancing in the Shimmering Glow,

Her Bounteous Grace full Springing

As All Creation, in flux and flow,

Heralds the Blessing her Smile is Bringing.

Her Subtle Shimmer in Gentle Hue

Caresses the Tranquil Cheek of Night,

Whispering Softness, Her Smile Subdues

The clamour bustling in Jubilant Light

Pouring from her Sister’s Smile;

Her own Song Peacefully Swelling,

As Starlight winks in Blissful Guile,

Their Secrets and Stories Serenely Telling.

Sisters Bound by Love and Life,

They Balance and Uphold,

Perpetually Spiraling in Joy and Strife,

As we walk in their Brilliance, Brave and Bold.

Sister Smiling Upon us All,

Watching and Eternally Knowing,

Through our Rise and Inevitable Fall,

Harmony within us is Patiently Growing.

Inspirational Quote (Guest blog) – On Inner Beauty

vinegar-jar-62063_1280.jpg

People are like stained – glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.

Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

How true are those words! In a world shaped and often driven by superficial and materialistic values we need to be reminded of the above.

True inner beauty touches our hearts and minds in quite profound ways. I am always open to unexpected encounters with such souls. For they open us up to the magnificence and mysteries of the Universe around us.

Passing Fair – ABC Poem – #FormPoetry

Passing Fair

Absolute Silence,

Breathless Sigh,

Chaos Soaring

Deep Inside,

Echoes of a

Fracture in Time,

Gabriel’s Horn

Heralding Fine,

Indigo Setting in

Jagged Night,

Kisses Telling More than the

Light,

Message Drifting in

Neptune’s Hand,

OH the Tranquility of a

Purposeless Plan,

Questing,

Resting,

Shadows Drifting,

Timeless Device of the

Universe, Shifting,

Vast and Empty,

Waiting Delay,

Xanadu Tempting

Yesterday,

Zero hour Passing Fair,

All

Betrayed in Your

Calamitous Stare.

Do it Anyway

The daily struggles that we feel

To keep our faith with Jesus real

To honor God, obey His call

Means we must offer love to all so all will heal.

When speaking to our God in prayer

We often talk of what is fair

We sense a daily push and pull

Yet His love cannot fill us full; we must repair.

Our choice to walk with Him can free

Or keep us locked in chains, you see

We love our friends and enemies

Or walk away, do what we please; our destiny?

He said it best. “The world will know

Us by our love.” Yes, we must show

His heart, His light, though not our trait.

Abide in God, the Spirit’s weight through us will glow.

by Susan Irene Fox

(Chorus to song) God is great, but sometimes life ain’t good

When I pray it doesn’t always turn out like I think it should

But I do it anyway

I do it anyway
