Poem: “Clover, Smile” (#guestblogger)
Stem and head of a clover,
drooping head in a curl,
six leaves skywards
and five in the ground;
you make me think
that for the love of a smile,
this clover can become mine.

You Are Awesome
You may have already noticed, or perhaps not, on weekends I am rather quiet (well, as quiet as I can manage to be, given we are talking about ME). Though this has been occurring for some time now, I thought, perchance, a smidgen of explanation might be in order (though many of you, once reading this, will smile, agree, and otherwise nod your head, saying to yourself “I knew that already”) (and if that is the case, then I Thank You and apologize for, here, stating the obvious).
Weekends for me are rather busy, as I am certain they are for you as well, which leaves precious little time for writing, let alone finding time to stop in to all my favourite blogs, read what you’ve offered and add a smiling comment (or six, depending). You may have experienced the same difficulty now and again; nevertheless, and otherwise notwithstanding, I should like to clarify that, although I may be a somewhat silent reader on the weekends, I assure you, I am still here, fluttering around.
Typically during the week I have time to stop in and make comments; while on the weekends, I tend to scroll through the WP Reader and hit LIKE a lot. This may offend some people with the misconception that a Comment-less Like is impersonal and detached, and, although I agree somewhat with that notion, I also rarely have time to do more. (Life switches into super-sonic on the weekends rather than merely High Gear during the week, while I try to squeeze in as much fun and writing time as possible in the midst of cleaning, running errands, and the like) (I’m sure you’ve suffered the same phenomenon once or twice, haven’t you?)
Thus, although on the weekends I may simply LIKE what you’ve offered and you may not SEE me in your comments field, please please PLEASE do know that my Like is more akin to an “AWESEOME”, “I Love this!”, “This Rocks!”, or “This is Truly Beautiful!” rather than merely a simple “Yeah, Hi, Hello, LIKE, see ya!” and of course, each Like that I click is similarly connected to a “Blessings Dear Friend!”, “Happiness and Joy!”, or “Bless You This Sweet Day~” kindly felt and thought.
In addition to this, I would also like to take this moment redundancy (but hopefully not futility!) to once again Thank all my marvelous Guest Bloggers, who help to fill in the gaps on the weekends and HOPEFULLY also provide some much needed diversity to BnV. Thank You to They who make my silence less silent!! (OH, and if you should feel yourself inclined to Guest Blog via BnV please feel free to contact me!)
So, in closing, I hope you will look with a gentle heart upon my weekend Likes, when they occur, with an enhanced understanding and, perhaps, greater patience; knowing that, while I have said little, my Heart is Smiling and my Spirit is Ever Thankful for All of You!
Rock On my Friends!! You Are Awesome ~

When the material things of this world don’t deliver.
“There was a man who had two sons. The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the property that will belong to me.’ So he divided his property between them. A few days later the younger son gathered all he had and traveled to a distant country and there he squandered his property in dissolute living.” Luke 15:11-13 (The prodigal son)
I see myself in the parable of the prodigal son, and maybe you do too. He was young and brash with a desire to live life in the fast lane. He couldn’t wait for his father to pass. He needed his inheritance now.
After his father grants his wish, the young man packs his belongings and heads to a distant land. He squanders his money on fast living. He hits bottom, so much so that he asks a farmer to hire him to help with his pigs. He is so hungry that what the pigs are eating looks good to him.
Many of us haven’t sunk to this level physically, but how about spiritually? It is when we are at our weakest, hungriest, coldest and in terrible pain that we cry out to God for mercy. The prodigal son returns home and begs for forgiveness. His father waits for his return and rejoices when it happens. Much the same way our heavenly father rejoices when we return to him, he forgives us of our disobedience.
When living out all the desires of the flesh falls short, when you can’t find joy or happiness, turn to God.

He Is Always There (#Guestblogger)
In the silent night, He is there
In the midst of thunder, He is there
In the cold north wind, He is there
In the darkest cave, He is there
In the loneliest dungeon
In the lion’s den
In the fiery furnace
He is always there
On the threshing floor
On the mountaintop
On the gathering clouds
He is always there
He is in the bringing bush
He is in the fire by night
He is in the cloud by day
He is always there
When trouble comes
When none stands with you
When darkness is all about
He is right there beside you
Bow your head
Fall to your knees in His presence
Let Him lift you up
Let Him be your strength
He will always be with you
He will never leave you
He is right there beside you
He is always there
I would love to have you stop by my poetry site at The Psalmist

It was by faith…..
“By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to set out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance; and he set out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he stayed for a time in the land he had been promised, as in a foreign land, living in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise.” Hebrews 11:8-9
It was by faith that Abraham obeyed God. It was by faith that Abel offered a more acceptable sacrifice to God. It was by faith that Moses was hidden by his parents after his birth. They knew there was something special about this child. By faith. How will your “by faith” read? It was by faith…….What will you do?
It was by faith that Moses decided not to be part of the royal Egyptian family. Instead he shared in the oppression of God’s people, the Hebrew slaves. Moses wasn’t a saint. He struck and killed an Egyptian, then fled for his life.
It was by faith, and a lot of reassurance from God, that Moses returned to Egypt to lead the Hebrews to the Promised Land. Pharaoh increased their work, and the Israelites would not listen to him. By faith, Moses persevered. It took several plagues and the Passover to set the Israelites free.
God can do a lot through a person of faith. Moses had struck a man down and wasn’t an eloquent speaker. Only Christ’s and David’s names appear more often than Moses in the Bible. How will your “by faith” read?

Prepare for the Wind (#Guest Blogger)
The wind blows
Gently at times
Gusty at others
From the north,
then from the south
The wind blows
Where does it come from?
Where does it go?
How does it shift,
And change
At a moments notice?
Are you prepared?
Ready for the changing wind?
Ready for the calm?
Ready for the gust?
Are you prepared?
The Spirit blows
Comes in like a flood
Then is quiet
Charging us up,
Giving us rest
Unannounced, the Spirit comes
Desiring to guide us
To talk with us
To take us along a higher path
Always there, near
Do you hear Him?
Do you sense Him?
Does He touch your soul?
Does He alter your life?
Are you ready for change?
The wind changes direction
At a moments notice
The Spirit will change us
At a moments notice
If we’re ready, willing.
Allow Him to come in.
Allow the Spirit to blow
Blow new life into your soul
And be ready
For change.

#FridayFeyDay – What’s The Difference? – #Epic #Fantasy
.
Many people have asked me, what makes Dark Fey so different from other fantasy and it made me think long and hard, but ultimately I come back to the same answer. Its Positivity. I just want to tell a story that will linger in the thoughts of a reader, perhaps even take up residence in their hearts, and share a gentle message of Hope that might, just possibly, maybe, brighten someone’s darkness. I long to share the power of acceptance and forgiveness that can alter our reality for the better in a quiet, memorable way that might, maybe possibly, make someone smile, or, even better, change someone’s perception of that guy across the street or that lady down the hall or that kid on the bus; because, at the end of the day, as Evondair in Breaking Into The Light so eloquently asks: “How else might we achieve peace if we do not become peace?”
