Moving House: An Update

Big news!

I haven’t mentioned it much, but WordPress has become a bit of a pain to blog on. A while back they brought an update which introduced a “block” system, and it’s a little annoying to use. Sometimes it will stop allowing me to add blocks and I have to save, then refresh to be able to add a new block. I was willing to push past that but now, I don’t know what they changed, but their formatting doesn’t work half the time. I am sure you’ve noticed, I like to colour my hyperlinks purple...

This week I’ll be hosting a special series of interviews with some talented authors, so make sure to keep an eye out for those, starting on Thursday!

This review has some serious spoilers, I can’t really write my review correctly without explaining some things so you have been warned!

I Survived the Storytelling Collective’s November Workshop!

Goodness! Long time no see, dearest reader!

Whew! That was a busy month for me in November. I mentioned in a previous post that I was participating in the November Write Your First Adventure workshop being run by the Storytelling Collective so I wanted to talk about my experience with the workshop and how I feel about my finished product.

My Final Product

Let’s start at the end — that is, my Call of Cthulhu one-shot adventure. For anyone who doesn’t know, the Call of Cthulhu tablet...

Humans are the Problem: Anthology Review

Welcome back to my regularly scheduled review!

As I mentioned in my little update post last Thursday, I might not be able to post two reviews every week for a but, but as soon as I am able, I’ll try!

Also, if you haven’t yet, be sure to check out the stories I wrote in October for a writing challenge I did!

Now to start, I did receive a free copy of Humans are the Problem to review, but all opinions in this blog post are my own. Onwards!

What’s Going On In The Life of PLM

Hello everyone!

You may have noticed that I have been a bit absent here after my writing challenge. The main reason was to recharge, but I have also been really busy with other projects.

Howls from the Dark Ages

I mentioned a while ago that I was invited to be a co-editor for an anthology — Howls from the Dark Ages — being produced by the HOWL Society. You may remember that I had a story featured in their first anthology, as well as designed the cover.

The past few weeks were ...

Writing Challenge Wrap-Up

Whew. That writing challenge was a blast!

I want to thank everyone who sent me prompts and who read my stories. For those who may have missed one, you can find them all here:

Monday: The Best Way
Tuesday: Whirlpool
Wednesday: Buzzkill
Thursday: The Hungry Visitor
Friday: Well
Saturday: Unseen Cost
Sunday: Affirmations

Doing a challenge like this is helpful to writers, in my opinion. Foremost, it forces you to churn out a story a day, which takes discipline. Add to that the guideline of using...
