From Privileged to Pawn

“It hurt a lot,” Maria said, squeezing her eyes shut, afraid of his reaction.
Sam ran his fingers gently over the red marks of yesterday’s punishment. Maria squirmed and hissed softly, trying not to draw his attention to herself.
