“Escape with Dollycas Into a Good Book”
If you’ve never visited Lori Caswell’s fabulous blog, do! It’s colorful, attractive, and chocka-block full of mystery authors and books; something for everyone.
Not only does this dedicated blogger provide amazing book tours (this I can attest to personally), she offers recommendations, giveaways, and “random thoughts”. I don’t know how she does it, but kudos to Lori for accomplishing all that she does! (And more kudos for having such a great family and being a fellow animal lover.)
Her bio is on the blog, but it’s inspiring and worth sharing. In 2001, Lori was involved in a serious car accident that left her disabled and unable to drive. She did get a part-time job for a few years, but it eventually became obsolete. Few employment opportunities seemed to be available.
Fortunately, a friend convinced Lori to begin a blog (and even assisted with connections). The year 2011 saw the birth of “Escape with Dollycas into a Good Book”. When one door closes, another truly does open.
Here’s to you Lori and all the awesome things you do for writers.

As soon as you arrive at Lori’s blog, there’s a sense of early-morning ease.

“Laura’s Interest” – A Blog Dedicated to Book Tours, Reviews, Contests, Giveaways, Blog Parties
Being a mystery writer often means digging around for info, be it for a story, a project, or something that requires explanation . . . playing detective as it were.
I found it rather difficult to locate a pic of Laura or much about her save for snippets on her blog, FB page, and Google Profile. She has a great tagline, though: “helping others achieve their dreams and goals”. How admirable; I really like that.
Circles we might want to include her in: cozy mysteries, business book reviews, thrifty finds, refurbishing, DIY, crafts, blog parties, giveaways, and ways to have fun.
Well, I’ve always said, I do love a good mystery (and Laura, you’ve provided me with one). <LOL>
Please check out her cool blog:

The “Fantastic Feathers” Blog
Mahathi Ramya’s blog “Fantastic Feathers”, featuring a majestic peacock, is a bit different from other writers/writing and book blogs. The tagline: “My random thoughts on books, different places I visit and anything that is exciting”.
I like that, maybe because it sounds just a wee bit like my own [first] blog (this one, CreativeSpider3): “A Writer-Editor Sharing Thoughts, tales, Goals and Desires – Your “Everything and Then Some” Blog. We have an array of likes, focuses, and opinions/thoughts.
As Mahathi tells us, she is easy-going and “wants to enjoy each and every bit of life”. Hear, hear. “I believe in God and I also believe that we are sent to this world with some purpose.” I love that she readily "accepts my weaknesses and I am also proud of my strengths equally. I just love being me!”
How awesome is that? Kudos to you, Mahathi, for your convictions.

“I Read What You Write” – A Blog by Michelle (Shelle) Perry
“Reading and writing about the best books of all time” is the tag line on Michelle (Shelle) Perry’s blog, “I Read What you Write”.
This reading addict and stay-at-home mom’s super power is reading (she’s also a pretty darn good blogger!). In addition to her love of reading, she enjoys sharing new authors.
Check out her well organized, easy-to-follow blog for book reviews, blasts, interviews and more. She’s also happy to have you communicate what you’re writing.

Valerie Long’s “Valerie’s Musings” Blog
Valerie Long’s very cool, attractively arranged blog is dedicated to “book blogging and other musings on life”.
Easy on the eyes, easy to follow, the blog started out with the purpose of providing book reviews, with some posts about “life and the world”. Since then, Librarian and Book Blogger Valerie has increased the scope to author spotlights, interviews, challenges and related book posts.
Though cozies are her favorite, she states she does have a “wide array when it comes to reading”.
If you happen to be an author and would like a book review, or you simply happen to love books, please visit her blog.

Amy Metz’ “A Blue Million Books” Blog
Amy’s awesome blog was created with the honorable intention of helping other authors promote their work (as an indie author, she recognized how hard it is to get our names and books out there). That’s commendable and we fellow writers thank her!
She’s writing a humorous southern mystery series, which I’m looking forward to checking out (I love the South and I enjoy humor). Check out updates, interviews and reviews on her website: http://authoramymetz.com.
Ah yes, as an FYI, per Amy, “a blue million” means a lot of something. I sincerely hope she realizes a blue million of success with her writing and blogging ventures.
As another FYI, she’s featuring me on her blog today (May 20th).

“Celticlady’s Reviews” & Kathleen Kelly
I love Celtic Lady’s blog—how can an Irish bhean (hope I got that right) not have shamrocks as a backdrop?
A wife, mother, and grandmother, Kathleen Kelly does not however reside on the Emerald Isle; you can find her in Wisconsin. Blogging began in 2009 when she could no longer work full-time. As she was fond of reading, she began reviewing books and loved it. She finds it “fun to discover new authors out there”.
Other blogs include:
Blog O'The Irish
Celticlady's Book Recommendations
Celticlady's Kitchen
Today, May 19th, on “Celticlady’s Reviews”, she’s featuring a spotlight and excerpt on yours truly. If you have a second, perhaps you could pop by?

Shannon Muir & “The Pulp and Mystery Shelf”
Shannon Muir’s blog, “The Pulp and Mystery Shelf”, offers author and character interviews, guest posts and spotlights.
Not only does Shannon produce all this, she writes, too! Her focuses are on mystery, New Pulp and Noir, and fiction primarily “featuring contemporary women in a range of situations”, though she’ll feature some male leads, too.
Please check out the blog to see all her works/projects (they’re impressive) and find out more about her (she’s impressive, too).
Not only is she administrator of “The Pulp and Mystery Shelf”, she oversees and manages branded books in “Infinite House of Books”.
On May 18th, you can find an interview pour moi on Shannon’s blog (for which I thank her profusely), but look around: there’s a lot to discover.
Shannon’s blogs and website (I must find out how she manages all this) can be found at:
