Hey friends!

Today YALLFest announced their author lineup for fall 2017 and I’m so excited to share that I’m going to be a part of it!

Yallfest

I’m also doing two Bay Area events this fall at Kepler’s Books in Menlo Park.

On August 15th I’ll be celebrating with author Jessica Taylor and asking all sorts of fun questions about her latest young adult thriller, A Map For Wrecked Girls.

Then, on September 26, I’ll be hanging out with fantasy author Jessica Cluess and chatting about A Poison Dark and Drow...

Help residents of the Grenfell Tower fire and win an annotated copy of Caraval

Some of you may have heard about the tragic Grenfell Tower fire in London last week. For those of you who haven’t, Grenfell Tower is an apartment block in the Kensington & Chelsea area of London – simultaneously one of the richest and one of the poorest neighbourhoods in the UK capital. Last week, a fire in one of the 120 apartments in the tower spread from that apartment to the entire building within fifteen minutes. Residents were told to stay in their homes. The final death toll is yet to...

Caraval Playlist

If you’ve been to one of my signings you’ve probably heard me talk about music. You may have heard me mention that Legend’s character was inspired by the Fall Out Boy song Centuries, or that when I wrote Caraval I wanted it to feel like a Baz Luhrmann movie meets a Florence + the Machine song.

The world of Caraval was definitely influenced by music. So I am thrilled to finally share my musical playlist!

For those of you who’ve asked me about this in the past, thanks so much for your patienc...

FullSizeRender 3Hey friends!

Caraval is officially out in the world, which means the Caraval book tour is now underway! Thank you again to everyone who  to the first stop, at Kepler’s Books, this last Tuesday–I couldn’t not have asked for a more enthusiastic group of people to celebrate that evening with. I had a great time, and I think the next tour stop is going to be just as fun.

So, for those of you who might have missed it I wanted to post a reminder that I’ll be at Barnes & Noble in Roseville, Californ...

OMG OMG OMG–Caraval Releases in Eleven Days

It’s Eleven days Jenny Bentuntil Caraval releases, so I thought it would be fun to share a little bit about how it sold. This picture is one of my favorite screenshots—it’s also one of the happiest memories of my life.

For those of you who don’t know Jenny Bent (the awesome woman in the picture) she is my literary agent, and she sent me this DM the morning after she’d first sent Caraval to editors. I remember shaking as I messaged Jenny back to ask what had happened. Then I started crying as she told m...
