It's the Simple Things In Life
Hey all,
It's been a crazy busy week. You'll understand why when you read Tuesday's blog. If I thought juggling writing and traveling was difficult, tossing in a third interest it going to be even more insane.
But it will be totally worth it.
As you'll discover on Tuesday! LOL
Until then, let me tell you what I've been up to this week.
On Monday and Tuesday, Jonathon was off, so we did a bit of playing. We went back out to Caminito and watched the dancers, drank some wine and did a little bi...

It's a MARVELous World out There
Hey all,
Jonathon and I had a great time the other night. We went to see the movie, Captain America: Civil War. It was a good movie, filled with all the action and amazing effects that MARVEL movies are known for.
For those of you who don't know about this movie yet, here's the premise... <!--[if gte mso 9]></div>

Happy Release Day - Blindsided
Hey all,
I've always loved the stories and myths of the world. Norse, African, Native American, Australian--so many wonderful tales of how the world and its peoples came to be. I studied them extensively when I was in high school and college, enjoying the way all the threads of the different countries' stories could weave together to make a beautiful tapestry of the history of the world.
But my favorite legends were from Greece. The myths and the tales of the Greek Gods were my bedtime st...

Ummm....I Have A Question! WTF?
Hey all,
I've been in a weird mood lately--doing some web surfing (do they still call it that?) and checking out the off-the-wall news stories that have come up recently.
And on one of my many surfs, I found a post that made me go, WTF????? And I thought I'd share it with you all. Lucky, lucky you! LOL
It's about a guy with WAAAAYYYYY too much time on his hands. I mean, you're an artist with some talent, and this gentleman DOES have talent, but this is the way he uses it? Hmmmm...I g...

Celebrating Cinco de Mayo - CJ Style
Hey all,
As many of you may know, yesterday was the fifth of May, more commonly known as Cinco de Mayo. It's not the first time we've spent May fifth in a spanish speaking country, but I'm always shocked at the fact it isn't a holiday that people down here celebrate. I mean back home you're constantly bombarded with all the things you can do for Cinco de Mayo.
But now I understand. It was one of those things I'd thought was one way and when I did the research to see how it was celeb...

This Rolling Stone Gathers Some Plot Bunnies
Hey all,
I've been very proud of myself lately. With lots of things to do, and being sooooo busy with everything, I'm still balancing my life properly. At least in a way I can enjoy Buenos Aires, continue writing and editing, take some down time for crafting AND deal with personal stuff back home.
I'm not bragging. I know better than to do that. Being too pleased with yourself is a sure fire way to screw yourself over. But I've been working hard to get this aspect of my life in order, and even...

Wilderness is not a Luxury but Necessity of the Human Spirit
Hey all,
We've had a great week. The weather's been pretty good, and I'm caught up work wise. I'm hoping to go wander La Recoleta Cemetery tomorrow for a while, then maybe head out to Chinatown to pick up some Chinese food for our dinner.
But this last week we spent some time at one of the places we'd visited before... Costanera Ecological Reserve. It's a huge chunk of land with all kinds of wilderness grasslands and some pretty cool flora and fauna. It's interesting to wander throu...

Bloody Hell!!! Is the World Ending???
Hey all,
When you’re overseas, you don’t get the news as quickly as when you’re back in the states. Here in Buenos Aires, our hotel has NO English channels, which isn’t the norm, but something we have to deal with every once in a while.
But when something happens, like a natural disaster, presidential election or special sports event—since I don’t surf the web for stuff like that—we often don’t hear about it for days afterwards.
Such is the case about the horrible flooding in Texas. We had...

It's New Release Friday!!!
Hey all,
It’s NEW RELEASE Friday, and today I have a brand new book out. Dragon Games II: Truth or Dragon is the sequel to my Christmas release, Snip! Snap! Dragon! This is the second book in the Dragon Games series and takes us back to the world of dragon shapeshifters and their forever mates.
This series is available from Changeling Press, and I love the book cover that Bryan Keller did for me. I’ve never had a Poser cover before, and wasn’t sure if I’d like it, but I’m impressed with...

Just a Bit of The Boring
Hey all,
Well, the good news and the bad news. :-) After that amazing blog I'd pre-done for last Friday, we wound up not going on our road trip. :-(
No one was sick or in trouble, it was a decision we made because we had some personal stuff that had to be done.
It was irritating, but in a way, we felt it perfect timing. We had the time to deal with it and God held what needed to be done back until we had that time. So it all worked out perfectly.
