I always wanted a clean series to read that dealt with the issues that affected me as a young girl. This series does all of those things but with a few updates. I hope that it will inspire and encourage young women to grow closer to Jesus Christ as they navigate life.

A Week Off
Well, I have officially started formatting "Part One" for Kindle. Chapters 1 and 2 are finished, and chapters 3-5 have been edited and proofed. The end of chapter 6 isn't quite right, so I keep going back and trying to fix it. The plot points are all there, but there a few things that I feel could be better described. It is an important moment for Olive, and I want to get it perfect. I anticipate that sometime next week I will finally be able to release it in it's entirety, yay! Until then, happy reading.

Almost There
Today I wrote 2,500 more words in "Olive," and am about a chapter and a half a way from finishing part one of Newfangled. Last night I had a great talk with my hubby about one of the main plot points that will tie everything together at the end of part four, and I'm so excited to start sharing this journey with you! I'm still looking at 3 weeks to get this serial ebook published on Kindle. Please pray that God would guide me as Olive starts to take on some pretty intense situations. How will she deal with the escalating mean-spirited comments from Trish and Jacey? What will Anna and Olive do about Melissa's disobedience to her parents' wishes? Why does Olive always feel so self-concious whenever she's around Dean? Only God knows.

Olive Cover!
I am really excited to share the cover for the first book in the Olive series! I have decided that I am going to release the book as a serial novel in ebook, and then when the serial is finished, I will compile it into one paperback. I expect to have "Episode 1" out online in a month. As you can tell by the cover, I finally decided on a name. The working title was "Autumn Olive" but I knew that would not end up being the actual title. The title will be "All About Olive: Newfangled." I am really excited about this series, and I can't wait for you to read it. My friend Tina has read the first two chapters and I have been encouraged by her response.

Olive Book #1
Well, I have finally started the Olive series I have been wanting to write for years. I got a bit stuck with Victor & Clara so I switched gears. I will definitely be getting back to them and their wrinkle themed adventure soon, but over the last two days I have written 6,000 words. I have to admit, that feels good. Only 60,000 more to go. It doesn't seem that intimidating when I already have everything plotted out. I know for me, having a plan is the best way to write. My brain doesn't really comprehend how someone just sits down and writes 100,000 words with no plan and they somehow transform into an amazing story. Stephen King, I am not.

Mrs. Chesterton
Today I set a goal to write for one hour, and I actually did it. It isn't always easy to sit down and write when I have three bored, hot children, but today I did it. I introduced the character, Mrs. Chesterton in the Victor & Clara series. Here is a taste of her vivaciousness :)

Victor & Clara Book 1 - The Setup
I finally wrote the first chapter for Victor & Clara Book 1, the first installment in my new YA series. Here is a little teaser from the setup.
