Adult Female: A Song

SUBSCRIBE NAO! http://www.youtube.com/p4a

Lyrics:

This song is for a girl
no wait I changed my mind
this song, is for a human adult female

Is it just me or is it creepy
how when we refer to a person romantically
We often use words relating to children

And it's not just girl
and it's not just baby
it's also boy and I think it's where we get shawty

So this song is for the adult female I love
And if there's anything she's been dreaming of
All she has to do is ask.
And if she wants me to
I'll do whatever she asks me to do
as long as it isn't really evil
or otherwise makes me uncomfortable.
cause that's what love is, and I have it, for her.

This song is about love
But it's not about what you're thinking of
especially if you are justin bieber

Love is hard and love is messy
And it can hurt worse than fire And sometimes it makes you want to tear down a
building with your bare hands

But it also happens to be
the best thing that's ever happened to me
And I'm obviously not a big fan of hyperbole.

So this song is for the adult female I love
And if there's anything she's been dreaming of
And if I can acquire it with the amount of money I have
without making myself destitute
all she has to do is ask
And I'll be with her until the end of time
as long as time ends before one of us dies.
cause that's what love is, and I have it, for her.

My Zombie Apocalypse Novella

The shirt I'm wearing: http://www.dftba.com/tee
The Project for Awesome: Every year, thousands of members of the youtube community come together to make videos in support of their favorite nonprofit organizations. You can participate in many ways but the most important thing TODAY is to make a project for awesome video: Show us a charity you support and how they (and you!) are working to decrease the overall worldwide level of suck. (You can google "project for awesome" to watch some past p4a videos.) Soon there will be an official thumbnail to use for your video--we'll explain how to do that--and then on December 17th at noon pacific time, we'll all simultaneously upload our p4a videos to youtube. The project will continue with all of us watching and commenting upon p4a vids and then on Saturday, there will be a huge live show hosted by Youtube from Los Angeles. Leave questions in comments; we or someone from nerdfighteria will try to answer!
In which John reads from his zombie apocalypse novella, which will be one of many raffle prizes benefitting made-of-awesome nonprofit organizations during the youtube project for awesome 2010.

Tongue Twisters

In which Hank proves that he can think too much about ANYTHING by thinking too much about Tongue Twisters. It's all about the sibilant fricatives baby. Tongue twisters are actually a universal game that all people play regardless of language. The best ones have a few qualities:

1. They will trip you up
2. They're fun to say when you get it right
3. Opportunities for Embarassment
4. Excellent Rhythm and cadence and possibly rhyme as well.

Psycho-linguists (yes, that's a thing) still don't know exactly why tongue twisters trip people up, but they do know that it has more to do with the mind than the tongue. But the point is that speech is far more complicated and wonderful than we generally give it credit for, and tongue twisters are one of the few opportunities we really get to enjoy how amazing it really is.

Giant Squids OF LOVE

Giant Squids of Anger shirt: http://dft.ba/-gsoa

In which John discusses the strange and fascinating mating habits of the giant squid, and then ponders why the sexual and reproductive habits of so many animals tend to be inefficient and--to humans at least--very strange.

p4a, Space Pasta, and Giant Squids of Anger

Shirts: http://dftba.com/store

In which John and Hank Green reunite to discuss the 2010 Project for Awesome and then proceed to challenge nerdfighteria to solve a dinnertable dispute in re. the energy output needed to create moon pasta and then discuss the new t-shirts at DFTBA Records.

The idea of the project for awesome is simple. You make a video in support of a charity you wish to support, and hopefully lots of people will watch and favorite and comment upon the video. P4A videos are particularly awesome and effective when they're well-edited videos that show us how the organization you support changes lives for the better. There are lots of ways to do this, but here are a few examples:

Shawn's video for the uncultured project: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJubQz...

Tyler Oakley's video for the trevor project: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsMkM2...

Kristina Horner's video about First Book: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pb35Qk...

Such videos are often useful to the charities in question, too, so don't be surprised if someone from the organization contacts you! Thanks for participating in the project for awesome, nerdfighters. We love you, particularly those of you who read this far into the video description.
