Please Stick with Me!

Just when I launch my freelance & publishing business and decide to publish an anthology and manage four authors for the 2016 year, my laptop AND printer simultaneously go on strike. Suppose I should've given them a better benefits package...Please stick with me as I play a little bit of catch up over the next week or so!
Hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season!

Insert Post Title Here
Special thanks to Crystal Collier for kicking me in the butt over not updating my blog this month! (She has an awesome blog herself, by the way, full of insightful tidbits and talk of tasty cheese.) I don’t mean to ignore my fellow bloggers. However, a lot is going on this quarter.
And I mean a lot.
To say, “I bit off more than I can chew” is quite the understatement. This quarter I am designing three websites, re-designing a menu for a Thai/Japanese restaurant, consulting for an architectural firm, editing/proofreading for a steady stream of clients, compiling an anthology which involves coordinating with 20+ authors (read more about that project here,) writing my own stories when I can, administering a new forum—The Creativity Sanctuary—and also doing every other thing I can’t remember at the moment.
The biggest news of all is that I’ve decided to start a small publishing company. Say, ‘Hello!’ to Stay Classy Publications . I’ve signed four authors for book releases in 2016 (details on the identities of those authors to follow…) and am, thus, closed for submissions—before the beginning of the calendar year! Good start, I’d say. With publishing four books comes editing four books, formatting four books, marketing four books and coaching four authors. So, yeah, there’s that.
You know, life’s good, though. I enjoy the hustle and bustle of coordinating multiple projects and I absolutely love that I’m always doing something different. Sure, sleep has eluded me as of late and I should probably stop and eat a meal every once in a while, but I’m having fun, I’m enjoying what I’m doing and I’m much, much happier than I was a year ago. Things aren’t perfect, but they’re close enough for now.
Here’s another thank you: Diane Carlisle, you rock! I mean it. This woman mailed me a copy of my book to sign, and it was one of the most touching gestures of the year. That you were willing to take that step brought (and still brings) such a smile to my face. I dedicate these Golden Girls lyrics to you today, Diane: Thank you for being a friend. Traveled down the road and back again. Your heart is true. You’re a friend and a confidant.
Now, I’d like to invite you all to visit my new blog over at Randi Lee Writes. As I mentioned before, I’ll be shutting this one down soon. However, I’ll continue to post links to new blog posts at RLW here until my readership is fully aware of the changeover.
I must say a thank you to one more individual who will remain nameless for the sake of said individual’s privacy. Someone—who happens to be a publisher—that I’m lucky enough to call a mentor and a friend has walked me through and given me some excellent advice on the publishing business. I’m not sure if I could’ve started out without the guidance of <insert name here.> You know who you are, you wonderful person, you, and I thank you so very much for all of the help and support you’ve given me.
That’s all for me this week. I’ll likely not be back until after the holiday rush, meaning my next post will be 2016’s first IWSG post. I hope each and every one of you enjoy your holidays and time with your loved ones this season. As always, thanks for reading, thanks for commenting and thanks for giving me someone to write to. Stay Classy, Blog-o-Sphere!
Best,
