Weekly Sponsor Spotlights: Blue Muse Jewelry, Experimental Art E-Course, and Katherine Quinn

Please welcome new sponsor Blue Muse Jewelry. Blue Muse Jewelry was started by Kelly Letky and her sister, Conni Bills, about five years ago. We have been creating and selling jewelry at local art shows in Upstate New York for about five years. About two years ago we both got addicted to precious metal clay, and half of our jewelry has been made from this fascinating material ever since. The other half features handmade artisan glass (which Kelly is also addicted too!) and semi-precious...

faith

been feeling pretty quiet over here. but man am i looking forward to spring. it's been wet and soggy for weeks and weeks and i'm desperate for blue skies, warmth, and the popping up of flowers. we've been going back and forth to portland and still no house but we're hopeful we'll find something soon. it seems i'm in a good solid waiting period these days. waiting for loose ends to tie up. waiting to find our home. waiting for sunshine. waiting for inspiration. i suppose all this waiting is a ...

crescendoh!

i am so proud of jenny doh. she launched Crescendoh today and i can tell it's going to be a daily visit for me. so much inspiration. so much joy. jenny is a social worker, too (like me!) and perhaps that's why i recognize her voice. i relate to her vision of sharing stories of how ART SAVES, and creating a site that inspires art + community with links galore, event listings, story telling, and so, so much more.
i'm thrilled to be a part of Crescendoh's launching this week as one of the guest ...

nettie pot.

today, i got desperate and finally used the nettie pot for the first time. it was so hilarious that john video tapped the whole experience and we had an enormous laugh as we watched the play back. the truth is is that i'm working my way through and i'm doing the very best i can though my heart is weary in those ways that happen when our bodies are simply worn thin and just about everything feels heavy and hard to do. john's been in alaska (alaska!) for the last 10 days and boy was it a sweet ...

at artful journey

finally, i want to tell you all about artful journey. the truth is is that i was feeling under the weather just before i left, but once i arrived at the retreat center i felt totally fine - it must have been all those smiling faces and good energy. upon returning home, i crashed and burned again. so yes, i'm still sick. in between not feeling well and working, this blog has been on my mind a lot. i feel like it's been neglected these past many weeks as i try to catch up with myself. please be...

don't look back

_MG_0385 i was just re-reading the last part of an old keynote i gave awhile back and wanted to share it here because it's all so true and made me think about this remarkable community who visit this space. thank you....
