I was sitting in a bar getting booze hugs on, sulking over my uglier than homemade sin life; working on my don’t forget to be awesome plan. I eavesdropped when he sat next to me; his voice more decadent than chocolate truffles for breakfast. Then I looked at him, scrumptious with a side of rough and tumble. He looked like a good start and was likely a hell of a finish. My plan took on a life of its own. I sat next to this sexy quirky chick; sequin jacket, bluebird bobby pins in her bird nest like hair. A pile of self help books and string of lit Christmas lights in front of her. She was doodling birds in a journal while sipping bourbon. One glance at her tearstained angelic face and I was done. Her plan was set though, and it didn’t include me. That is until she showed up at my office the next morning for her gyno appointment. An emotionally charged, rich with feeling story about survival, triumph, and a girl named Happy Go Lucky who had everything tragically stolen and created a plan to fix herself. A plan that didn’t include meeting Hunt Hardick.
