Saint books don’t turn up very often in used book stores, but I was fortunate to find a copy of “Follow the Saint” at @halfpricebooks in Schaumburg. This is one of the few titles I didn’t own in the 1980s and one I hadn’t read before. I’m enjoying it now. Leslie Charteris’ style hasn’t dated at all! #thesaint #lesliecharteris #books #mysteries #simontemplar #whatiamreading #paperback #bookstore (at Buehler YMCA)

One thing I have in common in with Brian Parker, the hero of my YA spy thriller The Boy Who Knew Too Much: We both wear black Adidas Sambas. His are probably pretty beat up by the end of the book.

I’m rereading John Buchan’s classic spy novel “The Thirty-Nine Steps” for a program at the Arlington Heights library tomorrow night. I doubt I’ll finish in time, but I’ve read it twice before

I enjoyed the Han Solo book well enough, so I read its Luke Skywalker companion. These are short books, barely longer than novellas, so they only take a day or two to read. They are episodes more than stories, but they fill in some details to what happened to these heroes after the first movie. There is also a Princess Leia book, but sadly the @palatinelibrary doesn’t carry it. Not at the moment at least. #StarWars #LukeSkywalker #theweaponofajedi #jasonfry #philnoto #whatiamreading #books (a...
