I am treating myself to a Sprecher Root Beer float because

A) It’s my birthday.

B) I finally (finally) finished the third draft of my novel in progress.

C) I participated in my first ballroom dance competition Friday night and didn’t step on my partner’s toes once.

D) I adopted my cat a year ago this week and he’s finally showing signs that he might tolerate me someday in the near future.

E) I deserve it.

One thing about me that drove Jeanette crazy (one thing among many) was my love of T-shirts. She didn’t understand why I had so many, and she didn’t understand my unwillingness to get rid of any. She didn’t understand that one day I might get the urge to wear a shirt that had been hanging in the basement for two years.
