Side Effects of Self-Publishing

First, there’s family advertising. My amazing little brother keeps telling his friends at boyscouts and 4H that his sister wrote a book (I sold several to his friends). I meet people and get introduced as “the sister who wrote a book,” and sometimes I greet people and they ask, “Are you the one who wrote a book?” This makes my heart so happy. Why Authors Should Appreciate Libraries

I know of two libraries now that bought my book. Yay! Will this prevent potential customers from buying my book since they can just borrow it? I don’t think so.

As a young reader, I did not buy many books until I was about 13 and discovered bookstores. Before that, I only went to a library.
