#nanowrimo is in full swing. 16,682 words written on the paranormal book so far. Time to spend some quality time with the puppies. Have an awesome afternoon!

Yesteryear

In line with my middle-aged promised bucket list, my plan was to (attempt) to publish at least one novel in each fiction genre. I am writing a Paranormal work for NaNoWriMo, but that doesn’t begin until Nov. 1. My brain needs release. I have decided to go against the grain and attempt an old-fashioned romance. Nothing against today’s romance works, but I wish to create a unique work on the opposite end of the spectrum from the norm. I managed 1351 words yesterday, so that at least is good practice for November.

Gearing up for NaNoWriMo!

I am so ready! I finished my calendar page to fill in each day. I bought supplies to make my Frappucinos at home, and have my trusty pink headphones at the ready to tune out the outside world. Bring it on!

Ugh! Back in the 90’s… when will it drop? Well, thankfully the ac is running cold, and Starbucks is only a 15 minute drive into town (more or less) from the boonies. October rush

Time is speeding up as it does each Autumn for me. My new novel Stephani’s Light is available on October 15 in both e-book and paperback. NaNoWriMo is chomping at the bit to go live, and I am ready for this blasted heat to finally retreat for a few weeks. It won’t be long before I end up in a frappe-fueled, self-imposed writing lock-in! Ready for the election to take place, and hoping people can calm down and start working together before this country completely falls apart. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend to come, and a beautiful drama-free Autumn.

Excited!

Why yes, it is long past my bedtime LOLOL Thanks to the very large Dr. Pepper my husband brought me at lunch, I am still in front of the computer, still wired, and actually getting some work done! Print book formatting is set up, and the cover is in production.Thanks to Steven Underhill for the beautiful creation of the lighthouse illustration that makes the novel complete! Getting chills here, so excited!

Business cards ordered, and final edits ready to type, this book is 99% done baby! Woot! Woot! Almost time to work on the new book trailer, and some exciting things coming up in the next week.

Me and My Bacon is still rockin it! I got lovely sentiments on capturing the ‘mood’ and teen angst of Emerald, and I don’t know whether that is good or not. I’m in my 50s and I still clearly remember those teen years, so maybe I just haven’t grown up yet LOLOL.

I will be off here for a few days, while I crack my own whip and get these last edits done. No more frappucino’s until it is finished…. (yeah, even I had to laugh at that one!)
