#Camp Nanowrimo Update!

It may not be my highest daily word count, but it's been consistent and with less resistance than usual.

Let the typing begin! Day #1 Camp Nanowrimo

I'm off and running with my new short story. I've always wanted to try a Nanowrimo event, but never found the right timing. Everything came together and it'll be fun to see how this goes. My goal is to write an 8k word short by 04/30/20. Come along and say hi to a Nano Newbie! I'd love to cheer you on.

Webinar Replay from Productive Flourishing: How to Stay Sane and Productive While Working from Home

I'm continuing in my efforts to share more positive out into the world, rather than the negative that so easily springs to mind (*cough* my Twitter account *cough*). I enjoy everything Charlie Gilkey and the folks at Productive Flourishing put out, but this webinar proved to be particularly timely. I hope you get as much good out of it as I did.

We are all in this Together.

We are. But I didn't say that. No, that straight-shooting gem of a comment came from Hal Elrod. Maybe you've heard of him? I've spent my limited social media time over on Twitter venting my spleen on a few current events. But, in the end, that doesn't serve any of us and, while it allows me to momentarily feel better for sharing my sarcasm, doesn't do much to keep my inspired or motivated. Today

February, February, wherefore art thou, February?

So. Yeah. February is gone. Long gone. So far back in the rearview mirror there's not even a glimpse. And somehow, despite all my careful plans and scheduling I am here in the first week of March feeling overwhelmed, behind, and so far off track I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get back on. Sigh. But hey, that's self-indulgent and overly dramatic. When I separate myself from my feelings, I

January over already? What?

There I go again. That same sick feeling that sweeps over me when I realize the month is almost over. Already!! Gah. I sat myself down yesterday and made a list of all the things I DID complete in these first, few weeks of the new year. It was a pretty good list and, yay! even included fresh writing. So why this sense of dread instead of celebration? Some of it, I'm sure, is knowing deep down

Goals Ahoy!

My January work continues as I lay out my hopes and dreams for 2020 and the decade ahead. I'm not sure I'm brave enough yet to share specifics, but man, your gal has some big dreams. HUGE. Items I want to accomplish in both my personal and professional life. The books I want to write. The books I hope you'll want to read. HUGE. I'm telling you. It's hard not to look at those dreams written out
