Thank you, Bookshare!!
Bookshare.org to the rescue once again! It took many years after becoming blind to admit I could no longer read print. But even though I gave away my library, some books were too treasured to lose. Thanks to Bookshare I was able to access a digital version of this old favorite!

Anyone else feeling the NaNoWrimo Shame?
Ready or not, it’s November. That magical month where writers join together in the creative fest known as NaNoWriMo. Raising their heads only to gulp another cup of coffee, or perhaps, a longer pause for turkey and a slice of their favorite pie. When I was first published in 2007, I had no idea what Nano was. Sure, I might have caught a murmur of this weird name and pursuit, but my attention was

A thank you to my readers.
It’s been an interesting year for all of us. The impact of current events became so great I broke my own resolve to not share my personal on this, my professional social media. I probably wouldn’t have done this if I had personal social media accounts, but I don’t. And while I don’t believe anyone’s social media posts would ever change my mind, and I certainly don’t expect my posts to change

We get out of this world what we put in to it.
July 15th, folks. Here we are, halfway through another month. How are you doing? No, really. How are you doing? As a person, as a parent, as a wife, husband, brother, sister, friend. Employee and employer. How are you really doing in the midst of our 2020?
I'm asking this in all seriousness because so many of the people I communicate with, whether in person or digitally, will take a pause to see

Urgh. New Story Woes.
Ah, that lovely point in the *short story* where I now have 12k words and am not quite sure it all still fits into my outline, that I even like the story, or that the draft is complete. But, I can't edit what's not written so completing the draft is my main calling. Wish me luck!

Camp Nano Reflections
Hey, I did it. :) My first baby step into the Nano 'verse. Granted, it was April's Camp Nano. It wasn't "real" Nanowrimo and I didn't write 50,000 words. But! I did sit down, plan out, wrote, and met my goal of writing 8,000 words on a new short story. Yay!! Is the story finished? Not quite. But if I've learned one thing over this whole writing adventure it's that the ultimate truth is:
