Christmas New Turn of the Year

The dark of winter, the turn of the year.
And new beginnings. And gifts.

Speaking of new beginnings, I have begun the revisions on Falcon Heart. We have reached pg. 167. After months of logging errors by hand in composition notebooks like this, it's actually happening!Revision notebook

You can get all future updates and more by signing up for my News Letter for exclusive giveaways and more on my website here.

I am also starting something new. I thought you might like a little more insight into the writing journey, so I will be giving you monthly looks at three areas:
1) Apprentice Level - Creative Point, for things I am learning and working on. 2) Journeyman Level - Internal Journey, which will be a peek into my inner writing road. 3) Master Level - a Wise Word, that means something of use from a character or excerpt in my writing that I hope you will find interesting and useful.

For example, at the Master Level - the first Wise Word about martial arts comes from Tae.

Tae regarded her, his dark face still. "You must have the right motion, without thinking, without stopping. My rangdo learn unarmed fighting, then weapons." He paused, looking far beyond her in thought, and nodded. "But Ali is not patient, so now you learn stick and staff, and how to defend against a dagger. The sword must come after." He smiled, the skin crinkling about his eyes. "Dream of your falcon, for you have only begun. It is too soon for a bare blade. In the end you will know both dagger and sword."
- Falcon Heart, pg. 86.

Then here is a poem I hope will encourage you. I created A Christmas Clear, and decided to share it with you, my second family. A small gift, with all my heart!

A Christmas Clear

By His Father held more than dear, as a babe He gave Himself here
The full hope of the year, that we may live without fear.
With good food and cheer, God’s great heart without peer
To us, drew near, and sat down without a jeer
To abolish our debts in arrear, and at last every . . .

The rest is here

A very Merry Christmas to you!

So this winter, these are the turns of new beginnings in my friend's writing and in mine. Where are you turning toward a new beginning?

In the dark of winter hold onto hope. Pursue new beginnings! :-)

Until next time,
Azalea
