FINALLY retired!

Well, I've FINALLY reached the point I no longer have to work 10 hours per day. I'm retired, giving me tons more time to write! Whoopie! My next book is in the first pass rewrite which is both fun and a lot of work. I'll make another post when there's more to report. Thanks to all who have shown interest in my first book.

Book groups

Over the past months I’ve had several readers inform me their book club would soon be reading HAUNTED TREE.

Whee, BIG THRILL!

Luckily for me (and maybe them as well), the first such fan asked if I could suggest some discussion points for the group to use. More than happy to help them out, I responded with a dozen questions I hoped would generate a lively discourse. They apparently liked those questions, so I offered the same list to the other book groups, and they accepted and gave me similar positive feedback.

Holiday surprise

In early to mid December, I saw a sharp increase in my book sales, especially the paperback version. At first I wondered why the sudden change, but then my wife said, "Duh. Christmas gifts."

I was floored. Then thrilled. People were actually buying Haunted Tree to give as gifts! Imagining people unwrapping my book on Christmas morning had me sporting a silly grin all day.

If any of you who gave my book as gifts are reading this, I thank you. Not only for buying it (I'm grateful for everyone who buys my book), but thinking highly enough of it to share my work with others. I am truly humbled by that.

I wish all of you a very, merry Christmas and a most prosperous New Year.

Another Book Fair

Besides the Central Coast Book & Author Fair on September 20, I'll also be attending the Mountain Authors' Faire in beautiful Oakhurst, California.

The Faire will be held in the Oakhurst Library community room on Saturday, September 26 (my birthday!). Come by and meet me and other central California authors.

Book fair

I'm going to be exhibiting my book Haunted Tree at the Central Coast Writer's Conference Book and Author Fair on September 20, 2015.

It's being held at a beautiful, ocean-side location, the picturesque SeaCrest Resort in Pismo Beach, CA, from 10:00am-4:00pm.
If you're in the area, drop on by. I’d like the chance to meet you. It's free to the public and many popular authors will be in attendance.

More Good News!

I'm happy to announce the Trade Paperback version of Haunted Tree is now available. It looks great.
It's available right now at Createspace, or later on at Amazon.
For those of you who don't already know this, Trade Paperbacks are essentially hardcover books minus the hard cover. Otherwise they are the same size and quality.
