I read so many books at once. I’m sure we all have this problem! Multiple reading syndrome.

Book of the Month is: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
The 5 Best Crime Novels to Read
As of late, I have been interested in Crime novels, to the point that they take the most room in my personal library, (of course romance novels will always be number one). But, there is something about a good crime novel, that sucks you in and makes you want to continue reading the book, until it sucks the life force out of you. Those are the best books in my opinion, you go to sleep in the early hours of the morning, taking in all of the suspense of the situation in the book, envisioning what the characters will look like in your mind.
Am I the only one who does this? Of course not! We are all one on this blog! We still practice the ancient art of reading and maybe even writing?
By the way, if you are a writer I would love to read your work and even review it. Whether you’re a poet, creative writer or a blogger, I just love to read anything! *breathes heavily whilst clutching a book*.
But anyway, I digress, here is a list of the Crime novels I believe every bookworm should read.
1.) Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. Year: 2013
This novel will blow your mind. It is a story about revenge, twisted minds and committing the perfect crime. All because of infidelity! Have I said too much? Anyway, I would encourage you to brace yourselves for many surprises in this novel. You may even sympathise with a beautiful psychopath.
2.) Trick of the Dark by Val McDermid. Year: 2010
Never have I read a lesbian romance/crime novel, but I tell you, I really liked it! It tells the story of a woman who loses a husband to murder, but gains a successful and rich girlfriend afterwards, who was also her childhood crush. The plot twist will blow you away. Stop wasting time and buy the book!
3.) The Faithless by Martina Cole. Year: 2011
If you’re interested in grittiness, crime and spoiled bratty women, this is the book for you. It tells the story of a beautiful woman who gets what she wants and doesn’t care who it effects around her, she enters a life of crime to nab her sister’s man… And boy, she definitely gets what she wants… And more. Certain gangs want her dead.
4.) No Time For Goodbye by Linwood Barclay. Year: 2007
Firstly, if you’re a fan of Linwood Barclay you can spot his books a mile away. Knowing he’s a great writer as well as the recognition of his blue book covers will pull you in. From the beginning of the book, you are pushed to think about whether Cynthia (the main character) is the cause of her entire family’s disappearance many decades ago. This novel has a plot twist, that will make you want to enter the book, and make amends for this poor woman. Read it!
5.) Fear the Worst by Linwood Barclay. Year: 2010
A missing daughter, blood found in her abandoned car, the hotel she worked at say’s she never worked there! What is a father to do? There is nothing else I can say, but read it! I have already revealed too much!
I hope you get a chance to buy and read some of these books from my list, if you have any questions, just enter my ask. Or if you’d like to post a review on the blog, just email me at: judaku.la@gmail.com.
Keep the ancient art alive! Happy reading!
