Books,Books and more Books

I don’t know if anyone reads my posts, but I guess its just nice to express myself on the inter-web.

I can’t wait to start writing this book! It is connected to a book I have on sale at amazon called “Love, Wants and Needs: From Eighteen to Twenty”.

My protagonist is based upon a beautiful individual I know, who inspires me very much.

She will only be referred to as “The Girl”, I hope that you will be able to find a lot of yourself in her as I do.

I just need to get these assignments out of the way and then I’ll be able to write and plan this book freely! Yay!

Did I mention that I will also be creating the book cover art? Oh the blessings of having so many interests and likes, it is actually very helpful sometimes.

Look out for my Book Bloom, you will be able to pre-order it very soon.

Love, Wants and Needs: From Eighteen to Twenty

I recently just wrote a book entitled “Love, Wants and Needs: From Eighteen to Twenty”. The poetry within this book is based upon a fictional character called “The girl”.

Autobiographical poetry from a girl who is struggling to get out out of girlhood and enter woman hood. This is for the girl and or woman who has been heartbroken, hurt and got back up again. The poetry of “the girl” is flowery and artistic.

The poetry within this book is based upon a fictional character that I will release in my new book entitled “Bloom”. The heroin is only referred to as “the girl”.

Please feel free to read and review it.

Favourite Unknown Graphic Novel: Dreamless

Hey guys! I know it has been a while since I have posted my favorite readings. But I am back! And I will continue to bequeath this book club (which most probably consists of me,myself and I) with wonderful readings!

A couple of months back I stopped my purist ways, and decided to give digital books a chance. Being a comic book nerd I downloaded an app called comiXology, which I admit I was a bit hesitant about taking a liking to.Until something hit me, call it an epiphany if you will. But realizing that most of the comics on this app were free, and they were still quality and amazing comics I left behind my purist ways and filled my phone with many comic books that were easy to access with just a tap of a screen.

One comic book that stood out to me the most, was a graphic novel called Dreamless written by Bobby Crosby and Illustrated by Sarah Ellerton. The artwork, at first, is what attracted me to this graphic novel. I loved the romanticism of the comic book art, it was created in a way that pulled you into a different dimension, one that felt real and distant at the same time. Look at the artwork and see what I mean. After I had  read the plot, I was sold!

The graphic novel tells the story of A World II Romance about an American girl and a Japanese boy who have seen each other’s lives in their sleep since birth.

Simple yet gripping wouldn’t you say?

Alas, the graphic novel was £8.00 to purchase via the app. I’d rather spend that much or a little bit more on a solid copy of the book. So I began my search to look for this beautiful graphic novel. And after weeks of searching, I came across it and purchased it without hesitation.

The story is told in first person narrative, by the main female protagonist; Elanor. She never dreams, instead, when she sleeps she sees the life of another person, the life of a  young boy named Takashi, who lives in Japan. He also sees the life of Elanor in his sleep.

The themes explored in this graphic novel are deep and profound that it shares similarities with many literature novels. I dare compare it to the likes of Jane Austen’s greatest work; Pride and Prejudice.

Within Dreamless you will find the following themes:

Long Distance Love
War
Family
Tradition
Culture
Interracial Love
Interracial relationships
Substance Abuse
Death
The Supernatural (unexplained phenomena)

I hope you will take this graphic novel to your liking and when you finally read it, give me your thoughts on it in my inbox! Whenever! Here are some snippets from the graphic novel, enjoy!
