My Lady Liberty (The Sonnet)
O my beloved lady liberty,
Here, I place my head at your feet.
The way you've been upholding freedom,
May I live as vigorous without greed.
You have given refuge to the persecuted,
You have shown light to the distressed.
May I be as upright as you my dear,
May my life shelter the meek and repressed.
Let me absorb you through my every pore,
So I may draw from your eternal strength.
The way you stand as testament of justice,
May I stand as steady giving up my last breath.
I can never repay my debt to you lady liberty.
Take my life and use it as ointment for society.

Ain’t Your Nigger (Sonnet to The Whites) | Bulldozer on Duty
Yes I am colored,
But I ain’t your nigger.
I am your way to oneness,
I am the humanitarian trigger.
I am the trigger for revolution,
Whenever there is oppression.
I am the trigger for reason,
Whenever there is dogmatization.
I am the trigger for ascension,
Whenever there is assumption.
I am the trigger for assimilation,
Whenever there is discrimination.
On our shackled shoulders America was built.
Yet how come we are still hated to the hilt!
But I ain’t your nigger.
I am your way to oneness,
I am the humanitarian trigger.
I am the trigger for revolution,
Whenever there is oppression.
I am the trigger for reason,
Whenever there is dogmatization.
I am the trigger for ascension,
Whenever there is assumption.
I am the trigger for assimilation,
Whenever there is discrimination.
On our shackled shoulders America was built.
Yet how come we are still hated to the hilt!

Time to Cancel 4th of July (Sonnet) – Abhijit Naskar, The First Supper

If it takes just one election to reverse
hundreds of years of social progress, then
that society never progressed in the first place.
There’s no point in celebrating 4th of July,
when we’re ever regressing to persecution days.
On the outside we’ve made tremendous strides,
we have been to the moon and back,
yet the glossiest of land reeks of lunacy,
when we nationalize prejudice as gallant.
America is abomination of everything free and brave,
where persecution is law, intolerance is religion.
To overcome hate some day, we gotta stand human today;
Dream of the King is the Dream of Civilization.
We have no cause for celebration, if anything,
we gotta re-examine the legitimacy of 4th of July.
When boneheaded egomaniacs make a joke of liberty,
revolution is our first amendment, mutiny our right.
