Quote of the Day
Saw this quote on Facebook and just loved it. Did a wee bit of research to see who to attribute it to. This was written by George R. R. Martin in A Dance with Dragons. Really lovely sentiment.

How about two more bikers?
One sexy rookie cop. One seductive outlaw biker. One unforgettable one-night stand. Sarah Castille’s sexually explosive Burnout is a hot and wild ride you won’t want to miss!
“You went out with her?” Sophie’s gaze followed Jackie as she headed to the bar to help Kickstand with the drinks.
“Yeah.”
“She’s beautiful.”
“So are you.” He patted the seat beside him. “Come sit beside me beautiful girl.”
She didn’t even look up. “Not like that. She looks like a movie star.”
Her little hint of vulnerability did strange things to his stomach. There was a chink in his little cop’s armor and one he wanted to fill. He slid an arm around her, then pulled her into his side, his hand stroking in and out of her lush curves. “Love these curves, babe.” He bent down and pressed his lips to hers. “Love this sweet mouth.”
She stiffened for the briefest second and then relaxed against him, her tongue tangling with his, doing things to him he’d never thought possible.
“Beautiful,” he murmured, as he buried his nose in the sensitive hollow between her neck and her shoulder. God, she smelled good. The scent of jasmine flooded his senses and his groin tightened, painfully hard.
“Ace.” She whispered his name, her body melting against him even as her hands flew to his chest. “Stop. We have to stop. Last night was amazing but…”
“Tell me to leave.” His body was coiled tight, pulsing. He’d never been as affected by a woman as he was by Sophie, never had an issue with control. And he’d never wanted anyone as much as he wanted her now. If she did tell him to leave, he didn’t know if he could. And if she didn’t…hell he’d never last the walk home.
“I did. This morning, I said good-bye.”
He cupped her face between his hands and kissed her, drinking the sweetness from her lips. “Say it again. Say it and I’ll walk out that door.” His heart pounded in tortured anticipation as she nibbled on her bottom lip, and then she drew in a ragged breath and met his gaze.
“Maybe tomorrow.”

Fast and Mine by Sharon Page
Geeky college student Claire Thomas suffers a humiliating rejection from the man of her dreams, and vows to learn the tricks of seduction. Her friends have the perfect tutor—Yardley College’s gorgeous king of one-night-stands, Sawyer Tremaine. Claire makes a wild proposal to Sawyer: she’ll tutor him in exchange for lessons in pleasuring a man. But she doesn’t know he’s more interested in giving her the hottest sensual pleasure imaginable than teaching her skills.
Wild and notorious Sawyer is the hottest and fastest rider on the East Coast illegal street bike racing circuit, but he’s fighting to escape the dangerous world and its high-stakes gambling. His psychotic ‘sponsor’ will go to any lengths to force him to ride, including murder. Can Sawyer break free and protect Claire—or will he lose her once she learns the dark secrets of her past?
Excerpt:
He pulls me close so I sit, straddling his leg. For a long time, we sit like this, twined together. His shoulders stop shaking. He looks at me. In the moonlight, his eyes are mysteriously dark, his face rendered beautifully by silver-blue light and deep shadow.
Cupping my face, he kisses me deeply.
When he stops I whisper, “Are you okay? It’s four a.m. You should come back to bed.”
“I can’t sleep. Every time I close my eyes, I see the accident like I’m reliving it.”
How could he bear seeing his friend die in front of his eyes?
He looks at me with empty eyes. In the faint grey light, they look grey too, instead of violet. “You should go to bed, Claire.”
“I’m worried about you. I don’t mind staying up.”
Sawyer groans and lifts me onto my feet, then stands. “You need to go to bed.”
“Come with me. We could make love again—if that would make you feel better. Or we could just lie there. I’ll do whatever you want to do.” I hold his hand and lead him down to his room and back to bed.

Conquista by Suzanne Rock
The Jungle Heat Series, book 2
After months of living with a biker gang in Rio, Manuel recruits a feisty heiress named Reya to help him unite the shifter tribes living in the Amazon jungle and drive the humans from their home. Their passion for freedom turns into lust for each other, and after a hot night of sex, he fantasizes about telling her all of the kinky secrets he learned during his time in Rio. Unfortunately, Manuel could never give the sexy Reya so much power over him, for if she knew his secrets, she could single handedly destroy everything he had worked so hard to gain.
In Manuel, Reya sees an escape from her routine and oppressive lifestyle. She loves to push his buttons, but as she starts to peel back the complex layers of his personality, she starts to change her views about the world—and herself. The more she learns about the sexy off-road motorcyclist, the more intrigued she becomes. As their connection deepens, she hopes that their fragile relationship won’t fall victim to the deep-rooted prejudice and war that could result from their indiscretions.
Excerpt:
Reya shook her head. “They want to kill you and send your body back to your leader as a message.”
Manuel fought the wave of panic rising in his chest and gripped her hand tighter. “Convince them otherwise.”
“I can’t. They don’t listen to women, here.”
“They’ll listen to you.” He flicked his gaze back up to meet hers. “You’re the daughter of their leader.”
“This isn’t like your Jaguarundi clan. Women hold no power here.”
“Then they don’t know what they’re missing.” Even in the human world, women are treated as equals. They are valued, Reya.” He inched closer. “You need to be honored and cherished, not taken for granted.”
She shifted her gaze to his lips and Manuel felt her tremble beneath his fingers. His cock grew hard as desire flooded his veins, making it difficult to think.
“I can’t confront my father.”
“You can.” A sense of urgency welled up within him. “You have strength, Reya. I can feel it.” He cupped her cheek. “Strong—and beautiful, as well.”
She shook her head as her gaze jerked up to meet his. “He’ll kill me.”
He let go of her hand and brushed a stray hair from her temple. “I find that hard to believe. Your father might be savage, but he would not harm his own child.”
“Maybe.” She inched away from his touch. “I don’t know. I’ve tried talking to him, but he won’t see reason. He’s a stubborn, unstoppable force.”
“Just like his daughter.”
She balked at his words. “I’m not stubborn.”
“Stubborn and strong.” He sat up and framed her face with his hands. “I saw how the men in that tent coward before your father. None of them would ever think of going against his orders.” He ran his thumb over her lips. “But you did. You stood up to him, Reya, when no one else would. If anyone can influence his decisions, it’s you.”
“I don’t know…”
“You have to try. Peace depends on it.”
“No.”
He leaned forward and rested his forehead on hers. “Then let me free and I will try.”
“No.” She closed her eyes and shivered under his touch. “They’ll hunt you down and kill you if you try to escape.”
“I’m fast.”
“They’re faster.”
“I have a machine,” he whispered.
Reya opened her eyes. “A motorcycle?”
Manuel bit back a chuckle at her wide-eyed innocence. “Yes. If given the right clothing, I can stay to the human roads and blend in with them. My scent will mingle with theirs and be difficult to detect.”
“The city.”
“Yes, I’ll disappear into the city and then, when it is safe, retrace my steps back to my tribe.”
She flicked her gaze up to meet his. “Take me with you.”
“What? No.” He lowered his arms. “You know I can’t. If your father found both of us missing, then all of my plans for peace would be forfeit.”
“I want to go to the city and ride a motorcycle,” she whispered. “I want to know what it feels like to be free.”
He pressed his lips together as he considered the consequences. Every fiber of his being wanted to make her wishes come true, but it was far too dangerous. “When it is safe, I will come back for you.” He rubbed his thumbs along her jaw, imagining what it would feel like to kiss a hot trail along her skin. “Then I will take you where you want to go.”
“Promise?”
There was so much hope in her voice. It tugged at Manuel’s heart. He slid his hand down her cheek and placed it over his heart. “Promise.”
She let out a long breath. “Okay, I’ll free you, but then you must run far away from here. If Navarro or Cruz find you, I’m not sure there is anything I can do to save you from them.”
“I won’t get caught. Promise.” He slid his hand from her cheek and cupped her neck. “Thank you.” He tilted his head and shifted his gaze to her lips. “I owe you my life.” He leaned forward, eager to taste the soft skin of her mouth. She shivered and closed her eyes, making him realize that this strange fascination he felt ran both ways. He leaned closer, closer…
She tasted like spring. Manuel had never tasted flowers or sunshine, but he imagined that if he could, it would taste like her. The woman was addicting, and as her scent washed over him, desire roared through his veins, filling his mind with lust.

Summer Fling
Yeah…I know…it’s February and we’re all thinking of snow days and hunkering down by the fireplace in our fleece pajamas and fluffy socks. But doesn’t that mean that now is the perfect time to dream about a Summer Fling. After all, what better way to heat up the chilly nights?
The third book in the Compass Girls series, Summer Fling, is here at last!
Summertime and the lovin’ is easy…until it’s not.
Compass Girls, Book 3
Too much love and loss taught Jade Compton to protect her heart and her sanity by steering clear of all that romance nonsense. She’s doing just fine, working two jobs, hanging out with her cousins and her best friend, Liam.
But when a combination of unbearable heat wave and a case of the boredom blues knocks her down, she longs to do something spontaneous…maybe even a little bit reckless.
Liam Harrison met Jade when she was sixteen—in the local cemetery. If he’s learned anything after eight years of friendship, it’s that Jade has a wild streak a mile wide. And while he doesn’t want to tame the adventurous woman, he wouldn’t mind showing her a few sexy ways to channel some of her impulsiveness. With him. In the bedroom.
When he proposes a sexy, no-strings-attached summer fling, Jade jumps at the chance to spice things up and indulge some pretty kinky fantasies. Then summer ends…and Jade comes to the uncomfortable realization that there’s only one place she’s comfortable in her own skin—Liam’s arms.
Product Warnings
Excessive heat in this story—in the bedroom, the barn, the kitchen, the bar. Drink lots of water. Stay hydrated!
Excerpt:
She shook her head. “I don’t know. I’ve been feeling edgy lately. Restless. I mean, look around, Liam. Is this all there is to life? Every single day is déjà vu and not in a good way. It’s like I’m trapped in the horror movie that is my life, forced to endure the same stupid things over and over and over again.”
Liam frowned. “So what are you saying? You want to leave Compton Pass?”
“No.” Jade closed her eyes wearily. “This is my home. I don’t want to leave. My whole family is here and with Vivi’s memory getting worse…” Her words fell away as her shoulders slumped. She was in a funk. Usually life didn’t get her down, but for the past few months, she’d struggled to shirk off her constant state of unhappiness. The worst part was she didn’t really know what was bothering her. She was suffering from what Vivi called a case of the blues. And she had it bad.
Liam reached out to touch her arm. “Maybe you’re just bothered about your grandmother’s illness. Alzheimer’s can take its toll and you’ve been watching Vicky’s decline for a couple of years now.”
She shrugged. “I am worried about Vivi, but I don’t think that’s what’s wrong with me. Not really.”
“Then what?”
“I’m stuck in a rut. I work at the ranch. I tend bar here. I hang out with my cousins and you. I eat the same breakfast every day. The same damn lunch. I break up the same ridiculous redneck fights week after week. I’m coming out of my skin. It makes me want to do something crazy, wild, impulsive.”
“What else is new?”
She shot him a dirty look that he ignored.
“Fine, kiddo. Be impulsive.”
She released a quick snort. “Easier said than done. I’m Jade Compton, the sheriff’s daughter, one of the Compass Girls. Sometimes it feels like I have a thousand eyes on me—all watching out, ready to protect me the second I step one tiny toe over the line into anything that could be potentially dangerous. I’m living my life swaddled in freaking Bubble Wrap.”
Liam laughed. “I don’t know about that. It seems to me you’ve managed to do some damage. Weren’t you the girl who got pulled over by her father for going a hundred and twenty on her motorcycle?”
“Yes. And I caught holy hell for it too. Uncle Silas is still reading me the riot act for that, and it happened nearly six months ago.”
Liam leaned against Bruce’s car. Her boss always parked in the alley. “I bet he is. That is one man I’d never wanna piss off.”
Jade blew out a long breath and tugged at her T-shirt. “It doesn’t help that it’s a gazillion degrees this summer. I’m tired of being hot. It’s like I’m living in a pool of my own sweat with my clothes sticking to my skin every time I step outside.”
“Attractive image. Thanks for sharing.”
She grinned. Liam always knew how to talk her out of her anger. No matter how mad or annoyed she might be, Liam managed to calm her down. “Okay. You win. I’m finished bitching.”
“So what’s your plan for getting out of your depression?”
She lifted her shoulders. “I don’t know. I guess I’ll just have to come up with something spontaneous and reckless. Maybe I’ll jump my motorcycle over Beyer’s Creek. I can sell tickets and put on a flashy pantsuit. I can even come up with a cool stunt-girl name like Jumpin’ Jade.”
“Selling tickets hardly makes it an impulsive act.”
She could tell he wasn’t taking her seriously and her pride kicked in, his whateverattitude rubbing her the wrong way. “Then maybe I should do something even more stupid.”
“And what would that be?” His casual tone tweaked her temper and made her long to wipe the smug smile off his face. As always, she acted without thinking.
“This.” She gripped his shirt in her hands and tugged him close, kissing him roughly. She felt him stiffen with surprise, the response appeasing her enough that she released him with a superior laugh. Served him right for dragging her out of the bar and then not believing her when she threatened to do something insane. He was her friend. The least he could do was play along when she was in a mood.
His eyes narrowed, pleasing her even more. Liam was a hard person to shock, so it felt good to shake the cocky man up.
“Oh my God, you should see your face right now, Liam.”
Her laughter died when Liam grasped her cheeks in his large palms and pulled her forward.
“Apparently you need a lesson in recklessness, Jade.”
“Wha—” She didn’t have a chance to ask what the hell he was doing before Liam placed his lips on hers and kissed her. Shock held her still for a full minute as Liam took charge of her mouth. His grip was firm, directing her face this way and that as he pressed her lips apart and started exploring her mouth with his tongue.
Part of her was compelled to shove him away. She’d only meant the kiss as a joke. This was Liam, for God’s sake. For eight years, he’d been her best friend. They didn’t kiss.
But damn if he didn’t know his way around a mouth. Jade lifted her hands to his shoulders. Her initial intention had been to push back, but once her fingers found the firm muscles on his upper arms, she decided to indulge in a little exploration of her own.
Liam twisted them until she was pressed against Bruce’s car, his body leaning into hers. One of his hands left her face, caressing its way along her neck, briefly touching her breast before latching on to her waist. He used his grip to tug her lower body even closer to his.
She didn’t turn him on. Did she?

More Bad Boy Bikers!
Today, I thought I’d sneak you a peek at my story in Riding Desire. It’s a Big Easy story. You met Chloe’s big brother, Caliph, in Blank Canvas. This time…it’s her turn to fall in love.
When they reach the crash point, will love be enough to save them?
Chance has brought Blake Mills back into her life. The textbook bad boy Chloe gave her young body and tender love to ten long years ago. He betrayed her trust, broke her heart, stole from her family…proved just how bad he truly was. Her fury still rages a decade later–so why does she want him more than ever?
Blake never stopped wanting Chloe Lewis. Through years of bad choices, Chloe was his guiding light, leading him away from a life of crime to turn him into the man he’s become, a respectable, decorated member of the NOPD. Now, seeing her again, Blake understands the mere memory of their love, their combustible lust, will never be enough.
Excerpt:
“I know, Mama. Yeah…Yeah…Mmmhmm.”
Blake Mills leaned against the doorframe of the studio. He watched the petite blonde—who had her back turned to him—set up her camera equipment while balancing her cell phone between her shoulder and cheek. Her head was fully tilted to the right, yet she worked with ease.
“I understand how important this fundraiser is, Mama. I’m just not all that jazzed about taking a bunch of beefcake pictures of some brainless mimbos with more muscles than sense.”
Blake stifled the urge to clear his throat, slightly offended by the photographer’s insult, but he let it slide, unwilling to let her know he was there. He’d never been referred to as a male bimbo before. Even so, he was fairly certain he’d find a way to make her eat those words. He might not be the smartest guy on the planet, but he wasn’t an airhead with a penis either.
The woman sighed heavily, continuing to speak. It occurred to him there was something vaguely familiar about her voice.
For now, he held his tongue, intent on enjoying the view as she bent over to retrieve something from her camera bag, her firm, perfect ass pointed in his direction. She wore skintight jeans that accentuated the bottom half of her generous hourglass just right.
“Fine,” she said in reply to something her mother had said. “I won’t insult the models. At least not to their faces. But I’m reserving the right to make fun of them at Sunday dinner. I can’t believe that last guy was able to squeeze his ego through the front door.”
Ah, Blake thought, her annoyance started to make sense. The last guy had been a tool. He sympathized with the pretty woman. He’d been roped into this charity calendar bullshit too. Sounded like neither he, nor the photographer, were here willingly.
She stood up with her back still to him as she snapped her camera onto the tripod. It was clear her mother was giving her an earful by the short, cutoff replies the photographer was making.
“Yeah, but…”
“I know that. All I’m…”
“Alright, I can…”
Finally the woman pulled her cell away from her ear and mimicked the action of throttling it. Blake lost his ability to remain silent. He chuckled.
The photographer turned to face him and he sucked in an astonished breath.
Fuck.
Chloe Lewis.
For the briefest of moments, he hoped she wouldn’t recognize him. After all, ten years had passed.
That wish was squashed instantly.
Her eyes narrowed when she saw him. “I have to go, Mama.” She didn’t even wait for her mother to say goodbye. Instead, she clicked the end button and slid the cell into her back jeans pocket. It was on the tip of his tongue to express surprise that she could squeeze anything else into the tight denim, but he was starting this conversation on thin ice as it was. No need to make it worse. Though there had always been something about Chloe that had him longing to tease her…just so he could hear her loud, joyful laughter. He’d never met anyone before or since who could laugh with such unrestrained, utter delight.
It was the first thing that had drawn him to her all those years ago. Chloe had trapped him in her tractor beam within minutes of their initial introduction and held him there for months—the best summer of his life. There was no denying the two of them had set off fireworks together—in and out of the bedroom. He’d never understood the word tumultuous until that summer. Perhaps enough time had passed that Chloe would forgive him and they could let bygones be bygones.
Chloe’s eyes flashed fire.
Nope. No bygones.
“Hey, Chloe. Good to see you.”
It was clearly the wrong opening. “Fuck you, Blake.”

But he’s having trouble resisting the redhead with the smart mouth and the killer legs. So when Natalie’s night goes from bad to worse, there’s no way he’s letting her spend her birthday alone. Love, Lex (The Undergrad Years #1) by Avery Aster
This summer I, Lex Easton, had planned to celebrate my eighteenth birthday in Europe with my fellow Manhattanites, Taddy Brill, Blake Morgan, and Vive Farnworth—until I’d caught my boyfriend screwing my mother. According to the police report, this vomit inducing incident happened around the same time I’d supposedly blown-up Mom’s penthouse. Like I’m walking around Soho with a stick of dynamite in my Louis Vuitton purse? Not! Now my besties and I are in jail.
Officer Ford Gotti, the Harley-wheelin’ biker cop who arrested us keeps sticking his perfectly sculpted nose into my case. His inked body is jacked like a superhero and he says I can trust him. He wants me to fess up. I won’t. Not again. Why should I? My friends and I had a previous stint in juvie that nearly destroyed us. I gotta protect them and keep my mouth shut. Right?—Lex Easton, Avon Porter Academy, Class of 2002.
About the series: If you loved The Carrie Diaries and Gossip Girl than The Undergrad Years—a coming-of-age prequel companion series offering readers a glimpse into the lives of The Manhattanites as they graduate boarding school—is for you! Taking place a decade prior, each-stand alone novel is cliff-hanger free and features a happy for now (HFN) ending.
Reader warning: This book contains fierce biker fashion, underage drinking, ‘f’-it buckets packed with caloric-rich candies, and drug use. Words are spelled based on how these characters talk. Any references they make to celebrities, authorities, brand names, and 2002 events are a product of Avery’s imagination and are not intended to be real.
What happens when a reporter looking for a story is thrown inside an outlaw motorcycle club on the verge of war? Drama, action, and lots of hot sex!

Dungeon Royale, Masters and Mercenaries Book 6
An agent broken
MI6 agent Damon Knight prided himself on always being in control. His missions were executed with cold, calculating precision. His club, The Garden, was run with an equally ordered and detached decadence. But his perfect world was shattered by one bullet, fired from the gun of his former partner. That betrayal almost cost him his life and ruined his career. His handlers want him to retire, threatening to revoke his license to kill if he doesn’t drop his obsession with a shadowy organization called The Collective. To earn their trust, he has to prove himself on a unique assignment with an equally unusual partner.
A woman tempted
Penelope Cash has spent her whole life wanting more. More passion. More adventure. But duty has forced her to live a quiet life. Her only excitement is watching the agents of MI6 as they save England and the world. Despite her training, she’s only an analyst. But everything changes when the woman assigned to pose as Damon’s submissive on his latest mission is incapacitated. Penny is suddenly faced with a decision. Stay in her safe little world or risk her life, and her heart, for Queen and country.
An enemy revealed
With the McKay-Taggart team at their side, Damon and Penny hunt an international terrorist across the great cities of Northern Europe. Playing the part of her Master, Damon begins to learn that under Penny’s mousy exterior is a passionate submissive, one who just might lay claim to his cold heart. But when Damon’s true enemy is brought out of the shadows, it might be Penny who pays the ultimate price.
