It's Here! D.M. Cain's 'The Phoenix Project' Just Re-Released!
The brand new edition of dystopian, psychological thriller The Phoenix Project by D.M. Cain has just be re-released! Originally published in May 2014, this new Booktrope edition has had a complete editing overhaul plus a stunning new cover design. There are many other great changes and additions, so I'll let D.M. tell you in her own words: The Phoenix project was originally released through Amazon KDP in May 2014. This was my first novel and I was doing everything on my own,

Meet the Author: Shawna Rich!
Today I'm pleased to share an interview with you that I did with someone who is not only a very talented writer, but a great friend. I have known Shawna Rich for years, but until just a few months ago, I had no idea that she was also writer! I've had the privilege of watching her take her manuscript through the process of Indie publishing. Being a new author myself, it has been great to be able to see the journey through someone else's eyes and to be able to offer occasional insight

Meet the Author: Marnie Cate!
Our featured author today is the lovely Marnie Cate! Not only is she a very sweet person and a member of the group, The Awethors, she is also the brilliant mind behind a beautiful book featured on my Awesome Indies page entitled Remember: Protectors of the Elemental Magic. I had a chance to talk with Marnie and ask her to help us get to know her a little better. I think most writers start as daydreamers, and Marnie is no exception. Enjoy! Tell us a little about yourself! What made you choose

Meet the Author: Sharon Lipman!
I have to tell you that I'm really excited about this one! As an Indie author, I've gotten close with many people in the self-publishing world: everyone from authors and editors to cover artisits. When I published How Maxwell Grover Stole My House, one of the most important decisions I made was the artwork for the cover. I found a webiste that had a perfect design by an artist named Fantasia. From that interaction, I got a chance to know the person behind Fantasia Cover Design. She is

Author Interview: Jason Greensides!
I have to tell you that I'm really excited about this new feature of my blog. I've decided that at least once a month (sometimes more) I will be doing interviews with other authors in the Indie community! Now I know that I can be pretty amazing myself, but let’s face it, even I am not that interesting all the time. There’s a great big world of books out there, and my tiny contribution doesn’t even scratch the surface of the variety available in this literary wonderland. So let’s get to know

Attention Bookworms!
As you know, How Maxwell Grover Stole My Parents, the sequel to How Maxwell Grover Stole My House, is in the pipe and set for release on November. This being the case, I have been working hard to find ways to introduce more readers to the town of Dinsley and all of the quirky chracters in it. The best way to do that (of course!) is to make sure that Book 1 is available to as many readers as possible! So for the next several days, the Kindle version of How Maxwell Grover Stole My House will be

How would YOU like to become a star?Announcing the Maxwell Grover Golden Ticket!
I have to admit it: authors are not super heroes. I, like any other human, get distracted or have days where I feel that I have lost my magic. I recently had about two weeks worth of these days. I decided to take a step back, breath, and pay attention to things other than writing until I got my bearings. Well, I'm back and ready to be amazing again, but I realized that I have been neglecting you and haven't spread nearly enough love around lately! So, in order to connect with all of my marvelous

My First Book Signing, Awesome Indies, and New Covers!!!
I have my first book signing in just a few days! It's a large event called Spring Into Books and authors, illustrators, and industry professionals from all over the state will be attending. It actually all feels a little surreal. I have boxes of books and handouts sitting in my living room ready to go, and I have been trying to prepare to present myself to the public for the first time. It's nerve-wracking, but also very exciting! Even though I feel a little intimidated being around so many

Amazing First Month!
All I can say is that I'm blown away by everything that has happened in the last month. Since the release of "How Maxwell Grover Stole My House" on March 13th, almost 300 copies (paid and promotional) have made their way around the world and into the hands of eager readers. Japan is still quite interested in this story (yay!) and I had my first download from India over the weekend. However, the accomplishment that I am the proudest of came yesterday when I was informed that my little story
