Rogue Retrieval Book Trailer

A portal to a pristine medieval world has been discovered, not by precocious children, but by a large and powerful corporation. For fifteen years they've been studying it, all while keeping the portal's existence a secret.

But when their lead scientist goes AWOL into the other world with a backpack full of dangerous technology, company executives fear the worst. They assemble a retrieval team to go get him. And because the rogue employee knows their protocols, they also bring in a ringer: an up-and-coming magician from the Las Vegas strip. His talents, combined with the virtually limited technological resources the company can provide, should make for some convincing magic.

And it will need to be convincing. Because the other world has magicians of its own. And the penalty for impersonating one... is death.
