Review of Shattered Lies by Theresa Sederholt
A beautiful and epic ending to one of the most amazing trilogies.
Jax and Raven continue to fight for their family and their love in this final installment of the the series. The amount of strain and shocks that they are met with tests the limits of their patience, sanity and faith. Through it all, their love for each other remains their focal point and their salvation. Max and Jackie are presented with their own trials and triumphs that only help to encourage the tender buds of their love to grow into one that blooms, and will continue to stand the test of time. Every character in this complex and compelling story has their own emotional journey to complete, which only adds to the beauty and drama of the story. What began as an unravelling, becomes the strongest of ties.
The detail and description in this series allows readers to feel and see everything as if they were a part of the story. The amount of twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat, and anticipating the next chapter as you become more invested with each one.
The skill and talent in which the author has displayed is evident in every word. This isn’t just a story to be read, it is an emotional experience to be savored.
Shattered Lies will stay with you long after the final page is turned.
Congratulations to Theresa Sederholt on an excellent conclusion her trilogy. I cannot wait to see what lies ahead, and I will be anticipating my next great read from this author.

Review of Cursed Desires by C.E. Black
I absolutely loved this story! Cursed Desires had me riveted from the first chapter.
We meet a married couple, Gabe and Kara, celebrating their seven year anniversary on a mini-holiday. On their last vacation night, they take a tour of a haunted cemetery. They had no idea that they would be bringing home more than their memories of the vacation.
Finding herself back at home and alone while she finishes writing her next great novel ( I loved that she was an author ), she begins to notice signs that she is not as alone in the house as she thought. After being scared for a few days by what she has been experiencing, she decides to confide in Gabe with what has been happening. Skeptical at first, he plans on proving to Kara that there is a logical explanation for what she has been seeing and feeling. When they both witness the truth, that they are not alone in their home, things become really interesting.
We meet William, a poor soul who has been lost since the 1800’s, and has attached himself to the couple. As Kara and Gabe come to terms with their new guest, friendships are formed, and some lines become blurred. As the trio find themselves becoming closer, a new presence emerges to try and pull them apart. I will not give the ending of this book away, but I will say that it was extremely well done.
I cannot say enough about the talent of C.E. Black. You don’t just read her words, you feel them. Her characters steal a piece of your heart, while her descriptive stories weave a vivid image in your mind. I thoroughly enjoy her work, and know that I will continue to do so in the future. I highly recommend C.E. Black to anyone that loves to read paranormal romance. A true talent in her field, she never fails to deliver a book worth reading. Well done, C.E. Black!

Stole My Heart
This is my review of Steeling My Haart by Lizzy Roberts
This book is a tender accounting of innocent love that was lost, but never forgotten, and finally found again.
Charlie and Emma are high school sweethearts. Both characters are facing monumental decisions regarding their futures, when tragedy strikes. Charlie is forced to make the greatest sacrifice in the aftermath of this event. Emma is left to deal with the fall-out of his actions, feeling betrayed and abandoned.
We find Emma eight years later with a prestigious job, but still clinging precariously to her love for Charlie. She has never been able to reconcile her feelings for him, or to relinquish her hope that he might one day find her. An unexpected turn of events, brings two wonderful new friends into her world, who are there to help her through the next harrowing chapter in her life. Tragedy strikes again for Emma, forcing her to solidify her tentative plans for returning home. Once she has returned to her parents house, she soon finds that Charlie is still living in town. Confronted with the reality of seeing him again, she realizes that she never stopped loving him. Charlie is shocked, yet hopeful when he finds that Emma is back home. He had always hoped that he would find her again one day, and prove to her that he is now worthy of her love. The two finally reveal to each other all their hurt, loss, pain, hope, dreams, and love for each other. With touching emotion, they vow to have the life together that they always should have had.
I didn’t want to reveal any spoiler for this book. I loved the interactions with the all the characters in this story. They were very real, and each had a distinct personality. Charlie was a true hero, and embodies all of the characteristics that represent what a reader hungers for in a leading male. There was also plenty of surprises along the way, to keep the story moving. The reunion between the two main characters, and the ending of the book, will have you reaching for the Kleenex.
Excellent debut novel, by a promising new writer. I will be looking forward to future releases from this author. Well done, Lizzy Roberts!

Book Baby
This has been my secret: I have been working on my first book, for these last few months. This is just a possible cover. I am waiting for the edits to be complete, and then deciding on a cover. I am excited, scared, nervous and anxious. My baby will be released to the world, very soon. I cannot wait to share all the details.

Thanksgiving
What are some of the ways that you celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving?
We have the traditional foods for our family feast, with turkey and stuffing, potatoes, various vegetables, bread or buns, and ofcourse pie! There is usually pumpkin pie, apple pie and a berry pie. We have our dinner on the Sunday, so that we can recover from all that eating on the Monday.
We usually go to a fair on the Monday, that is held in Rockton, Onatrio. It is a family tradition, and a good time for all.
Above all this though, is the sense of family. Thanksgiving for us, is giving thanks for our families, and all that we have.

A New Day
I am attacking the writing task today, with gusto. Sometimes you just need to dream!
I find that when I am laying in bed at night, I am obsessing over the story and the characters. It drives me insane because then I can’t sleep! There is a silver lining to this for me though. I usually have my greatest epiphanies while dreaming. The story follows me in slumber, and tells it’s own tale. I wake in the morning, full of ideas that I would not have considered in the conscious realm.
How do you find your muse?

Writer’s Block
I am at a point in my book where I seem to be going in circles. I know where I want to go, but just can’t seem to get there. How does one get out of the loop, and back on track?
