Volume 3 of Reading Series on Disability Now Up

I've just published The Odd Gift: and other short stories about disability for college students (Reading Materials on Disability Themes for Teachers and Young Adults Book 3). This collection of short stories for young adults can be read independently or used for classroom teaching on disability themes. This volume is geared toward college students. The story The Odd Gift explores stereotypes imposed on people with disabilities; Lime and Cake is about a wife's feelings about care giving for her husband who has Alzheimer s; Wait and See deals with a father's reaction to his son's diagnosis of autism; His Parents' House is about a twenty something who moves home after acquiring a disability; and Gravity Sucks deals with how a student with cerebral palsy responds to bullying.

New Short Story collection up: On the Boardwalk

A new short story collection of five stories about homelessness is up now at amazon. On the Boardwalk is about a homeless widower who meets a teen runaway. In Something of Worth, a homeless alcoholic is blackmailed by a little girl who sees him steal a coat. Dear Boy is about a runaway with developmental disabilities whose mother has died. Wheezy is about homeless friends who unite to help out one of their own. Down by the Tracks deals with the stark realities of a death witnessed by a 13 year old homeless girl.
