"Another beautifully written, inspired, and insightful book from H.B. Moore about a woman from the scriptures. I’ve known the stories my whole life, but Heather somehow makes the people feel more “real” and touch me in a way I can’t explain.

A fascinating insight into the beginnings of the Cold War and what led to the dire tensions between the super powers following WW2. | |
“When a gift is given in love and received with gratitude, both giver and receiver feel joy. How much joy would we feel if the gift is never opened? God bestows blessings and gifts upon you every day because He loves you. Find, open and embrace your gifts. You are worth it.”

“America is now wholly given over to a damned mob of scribbling women, and I should have no chance of success while the public taste is occupied with their trash--and should be ashamed of myself if I did succeed. What is the mystery of these innumberable editions of The Lamplighter (by Maria Susanna Cummins), and other books neither better nor worse? Worse they could not be, and better they need not be, when they sell by the hundred thousand.”

How can you afford so many LDS books - or where do you get them? Living in California, I would love to read more of the LDS genre, but can't find them (is there any online Library)? I basically stick to the local library for my books (and books on tape). I just sign up for the books I would like, and sooner or later the library calls with the book available.
