Exclusive Interview with Michael Gibson, author of FLOTSAM PRISON BLUES

Hey folks,
We have a special treat for you in the form of an interview with Michael Gibson, author of the Technomancer series. The Technomancer series is an urban fantasy cyberpunk series set in a dystopian post-apocalypse world where demons rule creation. It stars a wise-cracking protagonist and his mentor as they attempt to make the world slightly less awful. They're just really bad at it.
1. So, how was the reception of To Beat the Devil?
Are you kidding?! A multi-million dollar, seven pictur...

Hitman: Episode Six: Hokkaido review

The first season of the new Hitman series is finally finished with the sixth and final episode. Io Entertainment has been very clear they're interested in developing a yearly franchise akin to Ubisoft's Assassins Creed franchise. This all depends on whether or not Io has created a system which is enjoyable enough to be played over and over again. I think they have, even if I think Season One ends not with a bang but a barely audible boom.
The set up for Hi...

Demon Squad: Institutionalized review

The Demon Squad series is basically a literary comic book with a regular output and no end in sight of the adventures of Frank Trigg a.k.a the Devil's Nephew. The books are a kind of offbeat dirtier Dresden Files with aliens, Lovecraftian entities, Babylonian gods, angels, and demons as regular opponents in the strange world which Tim Marquitz has created. As much as I love Tim Marquitz's Blood War books, I think the Demon Squad books will be what he's remembered for.

Pre-Orders for WRAITH KNIGHT and ELDRITCH OPS. now available!

Hey folks,
I've had an extraordinarily busy year and a lot of you may be overwhelmed with my output. Others, God bless you, just may want to know when the next book is coming out. I'm pleased to say we've got plenty of new material in the pipeline with some of the biggest being works I announced toward the beginning of the year.
WRAITH KNIGHT and ELDRITCH OPS.
Wraith Knight is the story of a Ringwraith-like entity who finds himself suddenly blessed with free-will following the destruction of the...

Vintage Soul (The DeChance Chronicles 2#) review

One of the things I always had a problem with in the Classic World of Darkness (now just the World of Darkness again according to Onyx Entertainment) is the fact the supernaturals rarely interacted. Vampires generally dealt with vampire affairs, mages dealt with mage affairs, and werewolves dealt with werewolves. The gamelines were usually diverse enough that this was rarely a problem but it still seemed like a disappointing choice on their parts.
One of...

Autumn Cthulhu review

Autumn is a strange theme for a novel about H.P. Lovecraft's universe. I mean, you can combine Cthulhu with just about anything. Cthulhu has fought the Real Ghostbusters, the Justice League, Godzilla, and a host of other characters once people realized he was public domain. The Mythos has been at the center of Westerns, Space Operas, and even a teenaged romance which parodied Twilight.
But autumn? The season? It's a strange combination even as the editor,...

Hunter of the Dead review

I am a huge fan of Stephen Kozeniewski's writing. Basically, he is a writer who isn't afraid to create entire new worlds with their own mythologies, ideas, and concepts before letting them stand on their own. I recommend BRAINEATER JONES and BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS if you want to see some of his other works.
Hunter of the Dead is the story of a world where vampires live in the shadows and are opposed by a secret cabal of hunters. This not-uncommon setti...

The Guardian Interviews: Scratch review

Scratch is the fourth volume of the Guardian Interviews, which is basically a World War Z series of vignettes starring a group of monster hunters who successfully saved El Paso from an outbreak of zombies. While they managed to contain the zombie outbreak fairly early, they've since gone on to have a number of Supernatural-esque adventures. As the title suggests, this book deals with a new monster in the form of the universe's version of werewolves.

The Immorality Clause by Brian Parker review

Bladerunner was one of my favorite movies growing up and it's easy to see why. It's a Noir Detective story which just so happens to take place in a proto-cyberpunk future. Replicants took the place of Blacks as an exploited underclass but they were actually in a state of full-on slavery again.
Bladerunner's hero, for lack of a better term, was the kind of man who existed to hunt them down and exterminate them when they went rogue. A few novels have manage...
