November 11: how to write about a conflict in your life; it belongs in your memoir.
Yesterday, I wrote about how a memoir needs to have a plot. There needs to be action in your story. There needs to be something happening. One way to explore plot that is to explore action. A conflict is by definition a conflict. Write about a time when there was a conflict in your life. Most conflicts involve a lot of action.

When you learn to use journals in memoir writing, you will produce more accurate and detailed stories.
If you are fortunate enough to have recorded your life in a journal, you can use your entries to refresh your memory and get access to salient facts or verify what you remember.
If you have not recorded your life, there is still hope you! You can enter into the world of the unconscious and write “as if.”
