My dear AndrewAndrew, the world’s greatest iPad DJ’s and nattiest dressers in New York City (pictured here with the world’s cutest bondage dog) were kind enough to have me on their brand-new podcast to talk about Starstruck this week! You can hear the clink of champagne glasses and self-satisfied chortles should you choose to download free from iTunes, which I very much hope you will. DON’T DISAPPOINT ME. Fashion, fashion, fashion! The top one is my Bat Mitzvah (I’m in white.) The bottom one is obviously someone else’s. I’m in…well, I remember it being pink. Hot pink. With strong orange iridescent undertones. Like a fish.

My two favorite childhood activities: enjoying haute cuisine while wearing a vest at the local mall; singing a song about the Holocaust.

My letter to my “Teen Self” (God help us all) is going to be up on the wonderful site Dear Teen Me today, so I’ve decided to celebrate/punish myself by uploading some photos of the real teen me, for your viewing/snickering pleasure. I took myself very seriously, as you can see, and was fond of modeling various costumes and looks, many of which were refugee inspired. Please feel free to share your favorites, as though they were trading cards. Also, that picture of me with silver lamé draped over my head next to a pile of stuffed animals and a poster of the Hebrew alphabet tells you everything you need to know about my childhood.

I had a wonderful day doing the “Mike and Judy Show”...

I had a wonderful day doing the “Mike and Judy Show” on Heritage Radio with my friends and fellow authors Mike Edison and Judy McGuire. Here they are looking cool (note Judy’s Bloody Mary, doing its good works) We talked about Starstruck, Hollywood, and very appropriately, Passover. I’ll post the link as soon as I have it, so you can hear it all, including the part where I am loudly chewing a Kosher for Passover chocolate macaroon. (Do you ever look in the mirror and realize you’ve become your great-grandmother?) Like Nora from “A Doll’s House,” I love macaroons. The phrase “Judyism” was coined, and afterward we walked out into the Bushwick sun, where I purchased this framed photograph of two very important stars, Gilda Radner and John Belushi. In the picture, I am attempting a solemn face. Unfortunately, I did not succeed. This is why I never made it as an actress.
Podcast Interview with MOI at Tablet Magazine!
All about all things “Starstruck,” with the great Wayne Hoffman. Enjoy!

Great choices. I wonder if anyone remembers “Pearl in the Egg” about the medieval minstrels? I was nuts about that book.
