Cover progress, physical logistics of sex
More cover progress by Tressa Green.
This has been z story of odd research, ranging from what sort of sneakers Ephraim is wearing to ‘what can a long penis touch from (insert sexual position)?’
Yeah…, I had the flexible 12 inch ruler out at one point. Ha, ha. Aside from getting the ruler out, I then searched the web for images that matched the concept, but no, didn’t find any. That’s either good or bad. Good that it’s not a run of the mill scene that I have in mind. Bad that I can’t confirm what I’m visualizing.
Right. You must be wondering if Ephraim’s love interest has a 12 inch penis. I haven’t actually decided. I did describe it as an ass breaker, but that doesn’t necessarily make it a 12 inch penis. I’m hovering at placing it around 10 inches, even if I never confirm it in the story.
So there it is, some of my odd research for this story. Oh! Which included cactuses.

Cover art progress of The Sun God, modern romance novel
Here is last night’s cover progress from Tressa Green.
The story is around the same word count as last time. I’ve been tweaking the recent scenes. This weekend I need to finalize and send off my income tax returns before I get into the next scene, though I have written up the outline.
This story is being written on MS Word. I have Scrivener, but since I started on Word, many years ago, I find it easier to continue on the same. All outlines I do are notes at the end of the file where I can see them as I progress. I add these notes when I think of something. Most of my stories start with a basic concept and no planning. Then I pantser the first scene(s), and then my crazy ass, can’t shut up or sleep for long mind seizes the various ramifications of the situation and starts plotting them out. That’s when I write outlines, to remind myself I thought of them, because writing them in mist on the shower window ain’t too effective. Dish suds aren’t that great for note taking either. Sometimes I have to hang on to the idea for at least a few minutes before I abandon household chores yet again and open up this laptop.
Reminder: Please support me if you like my work. Leave a positive review on Amazon. Private messages are sweet and I appreciate them, but the public accolades are the ones that help me continue. Amazon is pretty much the cruising ground every ebook reader visits to see reviews, even if they buy elsewhere, so it helps a lot if you leave a review on Amazon as well as wherever you bought the book.

Cover art progress
Hey! And Tressa sent me her latest version of the cover art for The Sun God, which is currently sitting at about 55k words.
As you can see, the sun dial moved right. We have discussed making a high quality detailed version that I can blow out as I see fit and also use for the print cover. And today I showed her my blundering ignorance as an artist and asked her about the nose. I know nothing. Really. She sent me this, and I did a head bonk:
All the shading and whatnot has to happen, as you can see.
After she showed me the blow out of the head, I said, “Whoah. Now that’s awesome. I am so not an artist.”
After a short delay, I posted, “Man, I want to eat him. He has cute cheeks.”
And then I wrote, “You know when you see something so cute you want to beat the crap out of it…? Well, maybe you don’t… heh heh. Anyhoo,… (whistles innocently and walks away)”
Don’t worry She laughed at me and hasn’t run away screaming.
Did I mention there’s BDSM in this story?
And now for a pair of Twitter quotes from me:
“In case any of you are wondering, I’m not into the BDSM lifestyle. Unless I’m on top.”
“I’m just a fantasy fiction author who likes to drop things to make her husband kneel.”

Cover sketch for The Sun God

Cover sketch for The Sun God, art work by Tressa Green.
I sent the unfinished story off to Tressa Green a few days ago and here’s the initial sketch. The sketch is already transferred to the computer and the sun dial has been moved to the right. It’s going to be beautiful. This scene is straight from the story.
