Donna Hamill writes about her homesteading experiences on a low-desert hobby farm near Buckeye, Arizona. Subjects include the joys of raising dairy goats, heritage turkeys, and chickens. As a life-long gardener, she spends most of her time growing arid-adapted organic vegetables. She publishes in local and national periodicals. Her first book, BASKETS FOR BUTTERFLIES, is devoted to saving endangered heirloom (antique) seeds. The New Mexico – Arizona Book Awards (2015) recognized BASKETS FOR BUTTERFLIES by placing it as a FINALIST in three categories: Biography (Arizona), Gardening, and Young Adult.
