"All the "Sounds of Alaska" with few exceptions were recorded by the producer during more than fourteen years of travels and expeditions throughout the Territory. Nine different recorders were used. Some were powered by 125 pound gasoline generators. Others were powered by six volt wet batteries and converters. The Alchemists Of Sound
I've mentioned recently that I love a good BBC music documentary. And bemoaned that they never seem to make it to DVD. Well, last night, I turned up the 2003 docu THE ALCHEMISTS OF SOUND on the You Tubes. Which is, yes, about the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. (I'll be over this by the weekend, I swear). Night Music: Fantastic Cat
I used to make friends listen to this. I mean, make them. Many of them were not my friends afterwards. I did not care.

It is both appalling and sublime.
G'night.
Delaware
Still on the Delia Derbyshire kick, gathering bits together. I turned up information on this curiosity the other day. And sure enough, the You Tubes, retailers of all kinds of cultural lumpy bits, had an upload of it. Delia Derbyshire did another version of the DOCTOR WHO theme in 1972. It was rejected, though apparently accidentally appended to some episodes that went out to Australia. This version is named "Delaware," for the Delaware Road studio she worked at.
It's an odd bugger....
IRON MAN: EXTREMIS: The Motion Comic
Announced today by Entertainment Weekly, a "motion comic" adaptation of the IRON MAN: EXTREMIS graphic novel by myself and artist (and IRON MAN movie visual designer) Adi Granov. There's a trailer at the link.
