Who I Am And Where I Am (April 2010)

My name's Warren Ellis. I write comics, graphic novels, journalism and anything else that people pay money for.

I'm the writer of the graphic novel RED, currently being made into a film starring Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman and a shedload of other famous people. I'm the writer of the GRAVEL graphic novels, under development for film by Legendary Pictures. I also wrote the novel CROOKED LITTLE VEIN.

I write here almost every day. A collection of the writing I've...

* Jon Lebkowsky's notes on TED xUT include:

Bruce Sterling: Nonprofit idea that is worth spreading: Design Fiction. Becoming chic in the design world. Has a lot to do with lower coordination costs. Has dropped people across disciplines into each other's laps. Design Fiction = Has dropped people across disciplines into each other's laps. Most products of human genius are never real objects, anyway. Designers and fiction writers are up to date with storyboards, user observation studies...

From The Mines

Ha ha I thought I was done with the Marvel Anime job but it turns out I forgot something that they need in 48 hours ha ha oh god my eyemeat hurts and I'm sleeping in four-hour blocks and god I hate deadlines so much especially when it's my own damn fault for thinking this stage wasn't due yet and I will be done with this job today or this job will be done with me and so will life.

Mag+ Live

Late last year, I told you about Mag+, BERG's re-envisioning of the digital magazine for iPad-like devices, and showed you a prototype video.

Today, Bonnier and BERG launch Popular Science +, the first magazine on the actual Mag+ platform, for iPad.

They even got Jack Schulze to shave within a week or so of having a camera put on him to explain things. I think they sedated him, because he doesn't swear at all.
