Trying to define "witch house" can be a real drag
"As I realized that many of these acts were female-led or had female members, and as ?witch? is obviously a gendered word, I asked Disaro if gender had anything to do with it. ?There are lots of women on Disaro that are banging out the based-out beats and doing vocals, like White Ring, Passions, //TENSE//, Crones, The Beauty, Pregnancy Pact, Modern Witch, How I Quit Crack, along with all the others on different labels: Creep, Salem, Sleep ...

"Lexical Darknet"

My clever friend hep just told me something interesting that I didn't know.

on irc to hide channels, we often make channels after patching our unicode so you can do things like katakana and cyrillic letters. then most irc clients can't even read the chans if they are unpatched (tho modern GUIs often can). some people even patch their ircs to read color codes so that you could join a channel named a block of colored text.

Wandering Off Today

I'm buried in The Second Novel all day, and so I'm switching mission control down to low power — RSS off, twitter off, message boards off, just coasting on a email notifier app until I've gotten some words I like.

Here's a pretty picture by Ellen Rogers. If you missed it last night, I have a new music podcast up – the first download link is working for some, not for others, so there's a secondary download link just below it. That one, however, doesn't ping the podcast tracker, so it looks...
